Motor City Sonics
That's on the manager - and it's not the first time this year. You know, you can evaluate and still win too? The Orioles did it a couple years ago. Ausmus Jr.

1984Echoes
I was fine until the 9th... when Chafin was brought in. I would've gone Wentz (1st batter was a lefty)... And then brought in Lange, righty versus Fry, a righty. That was the game right there. Chafin gave up the homer to Fry.

Motor City Sonics
I know the game is a little different now, but isn't it funny how guys like Sparky and Leyland just put their best 9 out there and let them go and they somehow managed to win? Just pick your best guys and put them in the roles they're meant for. This ain't a video game.

Who was the best choice for the 9th? And Foley BLEW his last two games so... NOT Foley. Or maybe Jake Rogers doesn't airmail that throw in the 9th. Or the Tigers score in more than one inning. In any event, three blown saves in last week. Pen is pretty deep and versatile but definitely lacks that Emmanuel Clase type.
Tiger337
If MTS managers managed the Tigers, they would be in first place. Fire AJ Hinch!

That run was just as costly as the HR into a short corner with the wind blowing out.

kdog
The Tigers operate on very thin margins because they have so many dead spots in the lineup. They cannot afford to make any mistakes on defense or in pitching execution. Until the offense improves, we are going win and lose toss up games because it's hard to win all of them. This is one of those times.
SoCalTiger
Well I was hoping for a 2-4 road trip and it should have been...could have been...3-3 if not for two walk offs. ouch

Without looking it up , I'll guess no pitcher in MLB history has thrown for full season with a zero ERA. You can hope for shutouts from starters and and perfect innings from relievers but if you count on them you're gonna be in hurt. When you go 6 innings at a time without scoring a run you're going to lose a lot of games. Edited May 8 by gehringer_2

Don't give up the 9th inning run and we win. And the previous 3 runs are moot point. You don't know what you're talking about.
