MichiganCardinal Posted May 12, 2024 Posted May 12, 2024 No one goes perfect through 5 on THIS Tigers team 😤 Quote
MichiganCardinal Posted May 12, 2024 Posted May 12, 2024 (edited) The game doesn’t go faster if it takes 18 innings to score a run. Edited May 12, 2024 by MichiganCardinal Quote
gehringer_2 Posted May 12, 2024 Posted May 12, 2024 LOL - "Verlander's not 1.1 to home" 10 seconds later Colt is out by 5 ft. Quote

MichiganCardinal Posted May 12, 2024 Posted May 12, 2024 Giving up two runs with this offense? Take your L. Quote
kdog Posted May 12, 2024 Posted May 12, 2024 This is just a gifted hitter with a golf swing...feel bad for our starters: Quote

I think we are at the point today where pitchers at too reluctant to walk guys when they should be willing to. Flaherty had pretty much llost that AB at 2-0, completely at 3-0, tip your hat and the give the batter 1st base and live to fight the next bat Quote

At least not visibly. 😁 Hold on, Verlander has top seniority among active MLB players? I hadn’t thought of that, but I guess it makes sense. Damn I’m old. 1 Quote
gehringer_2 Posted May 12, 2024 Posted May 12, 2024 Verlander didn't give in and walked Greene. Lets see if that is a better decision. Quote

Tigermojo Posted May 12, 2024 Posted May 12, 2024 Another good start by Flaherty. Him and Olson are two of the lowest in run support. Quote

Verlander when the curve ball is on is no sin to have trouble against, but that's no excuse for all the other poor offensive days. Quote

gehringer_2 Posted May 12, 2024 Posted May 12, 2024 LOL - Verlander gives Carpenter three breaking balls and has him losing his bat. actually not sure why you bring JV out for the 7th, but whatever. Quote
Tigermojo Posted May 12, 2024 Posted May 12, 2024 Baez and Kelly are ready to pounce in the 8th. 1 Quote
gehringer_2 Posted May 12, 2024 Posted May 12, 2024 (edited) Interesting contrast - Verlander did give in to Torkelson with the middle-middle FB but Took couldn't get on top of it. EDIT: could get high enough on the line drive either...... Edited May 12, 2024 by gehringer_2 1 Quote
Dtrain72 Posted May 12, 2024 Posted May 12, 2024 I was told Keith had power...not really seeing it. Tork infield pop up...no wayyyy... Quote
kdog Posted May 12, 2024 Posted May 12, 2024 (edited) This was constructed as an 80 win team. That total goes up if their hitting improves; It goes down if they have major pitching injuries. I think we now have a pretty good read on how this will end up. And the division is much better than we thought; They will not be competitive unless the offense improves.
