chasfh Posted May 18, 2024 Posted May 18, 2024 Javy with five ribs to stake us to a 13-0 lead. These are the anti-Tigers right now. Quote
mtutiger Posted May 18, 2024 Posted May 18, 2024 Bob Brenly now speculating that you'd think they got the playbook lol Quote
Sports_Freak Posted May 18, 2024 Posted May 18, 2024 These are the runs for the month. We'll be getting shutout for the next several games... 1 Quote

Chris Sale's favorite guy in the binoculars moved to Arizona? they aren't facing a lot of velo, and they haven't been smart enough to even pitch Javy outside, so there's that. Quote
mtutiger Posted May 18, 2024 Posted May 18, 2024 (edited) The main thing that scares me about tonight is that there hasn't been a ton of home run power.... it reminds me a little bit of the Miggy 3000 game in that regard from a couple of years ago. (although they have at least had more extra base hits tonight) https://www.baseball-reference.com/boxes/DET/DET202204231.shtml Edited May 18, 2024 by mtutiger Quote
gehringer_2 Posted May 18, 2024 Posted May 18, 2024 2nd long sit down. But Skubal still in the game.... Quote

That game was a bunch of singles. At least this one includes a good bit of gap power. 1 Quote
mtutiger Posted May 18, 2024 Posted May 18, 2024 Skubal's efficiency along with the run scoring may make this one of the easiest games AJ has ever managed. Quote

1984Echoes Posted May 18, 2024 Posted May 18, 2024 Anyone know why Greene got pulled for McKinstry? Quote
lordstanley Posted May 18, 2024 Posted May 18, 2024 Keith and Baez have combined for 7 hits and combined 7 RBIs tonight. Both now within reach of the magical .500 OPS level. Quote

It's a much different team now, but it's more the reminder that even the bad offenses can experience a dead cat bounce from time to time. There's still some upside here though.... Tork and Keith turning things around would make a huge difference on this teams trajectory. Quote

Tigermojo Posted May 18, 2024 Posted May 18, 2024 How long do we have to wait before demanding the hitting coaches be fired? 1 Quote

Now quite possibly tomorrow the DBs will decide not to throw so many 1st pitch strikes and the chess match restarts from a different board. Quote

Yeah, it's more boxscore than anything... as awful as they've been offensively production wise this year, they are better than that 2022 version. Quote
