The hitting coaches today said "All right, just screw it, if you see a good pitch, go ahead and swing."

I think at the end of the 3rd, Nelson was over 70 pitches and Skubal was at 34.

I saw a game at Chase a few years ago. It was hot in September and 100° but they still opened the roof and it stayed cool. Kind of sterile like a mall, but a really great mall. Wide concourses with ample elbow room, so clean you could eat off the floor, great food, terrific staff. Every step of the way, parking lot, ticket booth, hostesses, just top flight.

Ibanez, Vierling, Urshella can all hold down the defense at 3rd - at least well enough not to hurt. But as McKinstry just demonstrated,  it would get  painful if McKinstry plays many innings at SS.

I heard on a podcast that Baez is actually one of the team leaders in either AVG or OPS with RISP.  I cannot find that matrix.  However, check this little stat out.  19.3% of his inherited base runners have scored vs the Tiger team total of 14.5%.
