I won't be too surprised if they make noise in the AL Central, but it won't be because "they're gritty and get the job done with two outs".  They are batting .238 with a .646 OPS with two outs.

They will make noise in the AL Central if they continue to get good pitching and the hitters start producing with consistency.

I'd say he was more excited about Pittaro since he moved Whitaker to 3B to make room for Pittaro in spring training.

And Carl Willis...the next Rollie Fingers.  It is interesting that a lot of players he hyped stayed in the game after their playing days were over.  Part of why he hyped them may have been that they had baseball smarts or were good leaders.

Lmao...he made the team because of good spring training stats...lmao
