Maybe that comparison didn't help, but Gibson gave Anderson a lot of credit for helping him grow up which is something he needed. On another note, I talk about Whitaker and Trammell a lot. They were my favorites, but I thought Gibson was the most exciting Tiger of my lifetime. Watching him run the bases, hit for the power and seeing his reactions to things was really entertaining. Kinda rushed to the big leagues though, he was really raw when he came up. Probably the biggest position player competitor I ever saw. The man wanted to hit with the game on the line. Quote

Sports_Freak Posted May 21, 2024 Posted May 21, 2024 KC made some good contact in the first inning. HR to start their 2nd. Olson isn't fooling them very much, yet. Quote
Sports_Freak Posted May 21, 2024 Posted May 21, 2024 Any time Witt makes an out, I'm surprised. That kid is really special. Quote
Sports_Freak Posted May 21, 2024 Posted May 21, 2024 Rogers with a bone headed throw. Olson hit by batted ball and pulled. I hope he's OK. Quote
Tigermojo Posted May 21, 2024 Posted May 21, 2024 That sucks. Shot to the hip of Olson. Hopefully he will be ok for his next start but good move to pull him for now. Quote
Sports_Freak Posted May 21, 2024 Posted May 21, 2024 I had to look it up because i was wrong. But a passed ball isn't considered an error. On Saturday, there was a passed ball by Kelly with Chafin pitching. Then a base hit to score the runner. If the passed ball isn't an error, why was the run unearned? Carp!! HR!! Quote
Tigermojo Posted May 21, 2024 Posted May 21, 2024 Olson is no longer the pitcher of record so the offense can score runs now. 1 Quote

He could still get the loss unless we tie it up or go ahead. One of the 2 runs was unearned. We're a Rogers brain fart away from a tie game. Quote

Hongbit Posted May 21, 2024 Posted May 21, 2024 Color guy with “It’s amazing at how many out of the zone changeups Wacha is getting them to swing at” Tell me you haven’t watched many Tiger games without telling me you haven’t watched many Tiger games. Quote
AZTigersfan Posted May 21, 2024 Posted May 21, 2024 Back to making mediocre pitchers look like cy young candidates. Come on offense!!! Quote
AZTigersfan Posted May 21, 2024 Posted May 21, 2024 Wentz the human white flag. Can’t wait until his tenure is over Quote
Sports_Freak Posted May 21, 2024 Posted May 21, 2024 Was Brieske on a pitch count? He only threw 22 pitches and retired every hitter. Quote
