Was there late movement on his pitches earlier in the season that isn't there now?

May not be the only thing but his FB velo has been dropping over the his 6 or 7 outings. He was down around 93 last night.

If you look back at his game data in Fangraphs what you see is that over last two seasons he doesn't sustain his FB velo. As a relief pitcher doesn't seem like he should be running down. The pessimistic theory is that his arm starts to hurt once the season starts and the goes to full effort and so it throttles him back a little.

And so it begins. Tork’s voodoo doll worked like a charm. Now we have to put him at first base and leave him there.

I’m not sure he could hit a voodoo doll correctly this season.

Looks like Canha is headed to IL with a hip injury. Brutal to lose two functional hitters within 3 days.

It's to be expected. Many 36 year old baseball players start breaking down.

Buddy Kennedy is still on the 40 man I think we can pass him thru waivers

Probably. A guy like that who lives at the far end of the forty is almost the textbook definition of fungible.
