Deleterious Posted January 1 Posted January 1 Maybe the ASU defense didn't know the start time. Quote
Deleterious Posted January 1 Posted January 1 Pretty sure they are not going to cancel it for 10 dead people. Only way they don't play is if there is still a threat to the area. Quote
Deleterious Posted January 1 Posted January 1 Sounds like The Sugar Bowl will be played Thursday night. Quote

If there’s enough investigation and other aftermath derived from the bombing, the resources might simply be spread too thin today. Sounds like they’ve swept the Superdome today. I don’t know, but that might also cut into whatever pregame activities are performed by both teams, stadium/bowl infrastructure, etc. I’m sure they normally do some pregame check of some sort. But this probably gets ramped up now. Quote
casimir Posted January 1 Posted January 1 Not that I was clamoring to watch it, but I wonder how TV for the Gator Bowl tomorrow gets rerouted for the Sugar Bowl. I suppose one of them gets moved to ABC? Or do they move up kickoff of the Gator Bowl from 7:30 to 4:00 or 4:30? Quote

RB Skattebo with a TD pass and then a 2 point conversion. Just picked off a Texas pass. Oh, balls…. ASU ain’t done yet at all. Deep pass to Skattebo right after the interception. Quote
lordstanley Posted January 1 Posted January 1 ASU ties it with 16 points in 1:31. I would enjoy this more if I knew Ohio State was going to lose to Oregon. Because if ASU steals this, a pretty easy path to the final opens up for the Rose Bowl winner. Quote
casimir Posted January 1 Posted January 1 Tied at 24. There was a “harmless” safety at 17-3 to get ASU up to 5 in the 3rd quarter. Texas RB get popped in the end zone, the ball literally flew into Quinn’s hands, and he had nothing he could do. But kudos to ASU. They needed 2 TDs and 2 two point conversions to square this game up. Quote

Texas had Clemson and Arizona State, arguably the two worst teams in the playoffs. They made it through one but they’re kind of fumblimg this one away. Quote
Mr.TaterSalad Posted January 1 Posted January 1 Arizona State just got robbed. How in the world was that not a targeting call against Texas? Quote

lordstanley Posted January 1 Posted January 1 I’m supposed to do a polar bear plunge into the ocean at the bottom of the hour. It’s about 6 blocks away but I’m still on my couch. Am I really interested in this Texas-ASU or is it just an excuse, ha. Quote
MichiganCardinal Posted January 1 Posted January 1 It’s still so funny to me that Michigan beat this Ohio State team. Quote
lordstanley Posted January 1 Posted January 1 I think Ryan Day might get to keep his job. 24-0! Quote
gehringer_2 Posted January 1 Posted January 1 Eggs may expensive in some places, but the Duck are laying enough to drive the price down in LA tonight.... Quote
MichiganCardinal Posted January 1 Posted January 1 Ohio State - Notre Dame National Championship makes me nauseous, so go Georgia I guess. Quote

To be fair I don't think Michigan beat THIS OSU team, I think it did create it though. This is honestly the type of team I was expecting to see all season when you looked at their roster. It took us embarrassing them for it to come out. Quote

He coaches completely different against them than everyone else. Quote
casimir Posted January 3 Posted January 3 So, home teams sweep the first round and then road jerseys sweep the second round. Coincidence? Quote
