Honest question, I don't recall seeing any reporting to the effect You already have the power struggle between Lynn and Campbell. Campbell is going to want final say. Safe to assume that Holmes isn’t going to support this ultra conservative offense. Campbell is who he is. He came in saying how much he loves conservative football. When you hear Holmes talk the philosophy doesn’t seem to align.
TP_Fan
These play calls hurt to watch. Any pass behind the line of scrimmage isn’t going to work. It will never work.
TP_Fan
Touchdown hockenson. Odd what happens when you throw it past the line of scrimmage.
TP_Fan
Lol Campbell can’t even get the team to kick an extra point correctly. 12 men on the field for the xp. The ineptitude even shows up when things go well.
TP_Fan
Hockenson to the locker room. Hurt himself catching the football.

Not everything that happens on the field is on the Head Coaches shoulders like people seem to think.
Mr.TaterSalad
WOW, terrible penalty to take, even if we made the FG. Great touchdown by Hockenson.

Honest question, I don't recall seeing any reporting to the effect Other than whatever is going on with Lynn they seem to be a calm ship. I suppose whether tension between a coach and GM develops or continues has a lot to do with how ownership deals with it. If you have ownership that allows the coach to have their ear to complain about the GM (or vice versa) vs one that's strong about telling folks to stay in their lanes it would likely make a difference. Obviously when there is a lot of losing there is always going to be incentive for a GM to blame it on the coach and the coach to blame it on his personnel (and thus the GM). It will be one measure of this ownership if they keep everyone pulling in the same direction through such a terrible season.

The Special Team coach specifically is on the sideline counting the players and making sure the right ones are sent out. Sure Campbell could've chose to use a timeout when he saw the one player trying to get off the field but other than that it is not his fault that 12 guys were sent out there. Hongbit
Lions head coach really is one of the best jobs in pro sports. The pay is fantastic with no pressure to perform and a million built in excuses when you fail. The boss is nice and doesn’t demand results. The only pressure will come from media and fans but no coach ever cares what either of those groups thinks.
TP_Fan
Back to back penalties after the start to a promising drive. 2nd and 7 does to 2nd and 22. Campbell football. Zero discipline. No one is prepared. make that 3 straight penalties. 2nd and 32. Decker again, what a fucking bum he is. Great coaching.
TP_Fan
3rd and 32. Didn’t try again. Completely gave up. Joke.
Mr.TaterSalad
2nd and 22 and we call a draw play. That's awful play calling and a penalty to boot.
TP_Fan
Money time and the same issues are there. Coaches are not putting the players in a position to win.

Mr.TaterSalad
False start, holding penalty, holding penalty, running play on 2nd and 22, overthrow by Goff, punt. This team has no ability to build on a lead and put anyone away because of terrible drives like that. No discipline, terrible play calling, and Goff can't make a big throw to save his life. TP_Fan
Campbell must never address holding with this team. They hold on every play on both sides of the ball. Probably not the coaches fault though. He doesn’t have anything to do with discipline.
Mr.TaterSalad
WOW, ANOTHER penalty. They want to give back the lead and lose.

TP_Fan
Lions are gonna have to use timeouts if the bears get another first down. Methodical soul crushing drive here from the bears. This is going perfectly for Chicago.
TP_Fan
Tied for most loses in one score games. Definitely not a coaching problem though.
TP_Fan
Hahaha lions have to waste a timeout because the defense had no idea what is going on. Timeout after a timeout! With the game on the line. Campbell can’t be judged though.
