In front of that Greene lead taker was a misplay by Washington SP Parker on a humble dribbler to the mound from Ibanez.  A sure out that was fumbled something awful.

Then get to Greene’s at bat and he pops one into LF foul territory that he assumes is an out, but the net catches and it falls harmlessly to the dirt.  This was the pitch before his thunderous drive to the wall.

Nobody wants to believe it, but sometimes the Tigers do get some fortunate breaks.

Way to jinx it, moran.

How it's supposed to look

Tigers have had more than their share of bad luck with good and even great players that should have been fixtures in the lineup but ended up with injuries that sapped or even killed their career. Austin among the worst cases. 19 WAR in his 1st 4 seasons, then he couldn't run anymore.

Dan Dickerson totally called that stolen base by pointing out just how terrible Ruiz was at throwing out stealers, and not two seconds later Ruiz botches the throw on a SB

Idk about Malloy man...still early in his stint, but he does NOT look ready for MLB pitching

And we didn't sign JD Martinez because they didn't want to tie up the DH spot. At least, that was their excuse for not signing JD.
