Maeda won't start on Sunday...they'll do a bullpen game or pull Manning up.

He's here for 2 years. You don't spend millions on a pitcher and not let him pitch. Hinch says his stuff is too good to be struggling. Either he's lying to us and himself or he's not even watching.

Hey, at least Avila didn't sign him. Chris finally spends a few bucks and this is what Harris buys. No wonder he's not allowed to sign good players.

If we're playing the semantics game, the Baez contract is an albatross. The Maeda deal is an impediment...he shouldn't be starting games going forward. But he will because they don't want to dump the money.

Meada followed by Wentz is what the kids call a "poopy filled diaper fire of back to back pitchers who shouldnt even be in MLB"

After falling behind by 6 runs, it doesn't matter who pitches. That Cleveland pitcher doesn't give up multiple runs very often...

Not a chance. That was five years. This is only two.

Cody Stavenhagen, a professional journalist, called Maeda’s contract an “albatross”. Talk about engaging in rhetorical inflation.

yea - true in the overall sense, but in terms of the back to back to back futility....At least Zimmermann had the decency to keep going back to the DL so we never had to contemplate him being in the rotation for 15 straight starts more!

Although to be fair, on replay, that was an absolutely perfectly-executed pickoff.

Hinch just loves playing him which is one reason he needs to go. It’s like his crack or something. Somehow he was fourth in AB’s last year. He started slow this year but Hinch is playing him often again . Ah to be left handed and mediocre.

He's versatile!!! Bad at a lot of positions.

I really don't think his defense is good, at any position. Sure, he can play multiple positions but not very good at most of them.

I agree but he was an early Harris get so he will get run unfortunately. Kind of like Lugo. Managers making their boss happy or proving them wrong?

Yeah - He throws pretty well, but the glove is not particularly reliable -
