Analytics has helped to pin down player value. Here in Detroit, we were spoiled by the Mike Ilitch years. He payed like a fan, not an owner. Quote

casimir Posted March 1, 2022 Posted March 1, 2022 I have resigned myself over the past week or two that there isn't much reason to be optimistic about a deal being done until there is a done deal. 1 Quote

Dombrowski outbid himself to get JD to the Red Sox, no one else was going to pay for one-dimensional righthanded power. Quote

Motor City Sonics Posted March 1, 2022 Author Posted March 1, 2022 Has anyone published a list that shows what each owner paid for their current team and what they would get for it now? That would be very interesting to see. I find is hilarious that owners are complaining about finances when of them signed a guy for $43 million a year. Piss off............... Quote
