I went back and looked at several years and like I said the Cowboys were the only team that I found that made any real difference. Outside of that if the team was terrible(like both NY teams have been) it didn't matter who was in the game again except the Cowboys the numbers weren't better than games with better teams. 

All the highest rated games featured teams and games with playoff implications, it didn't matter where the teams were from those were the games that the National Audience tuned in for. 

I will say though that I probably wasn't clear with my original post, I wasn't arguing that in a vacuum a NY team wouldn't draw more viewers than a Detroit, Cincy, Cleveland etc. type team. I was saying that a bad NY team won't draw more than a good team from other parts of the country especially if its a game between 2 good teams.

So if the NFL or networks believe the NY teams are gonna be good that year then yes it makes sense to put them on as many big games as possible but if they aren't sure then they are better off putting on the teams they feel more confident even if said teams play in smaller markets. That is of course if their goal is to get the highest amount of viewers on prime time games which admittedly I don't know if that is necessarily the case.

The announcers are afraid to come right out and say what’s been obvious for weeks with the Jets.    Rodgers is the problem. He’s old and done.  We saw the signs 2 years ago in his last year in GB.

And watching the draft, they waited several rounds to take a QB. I think 6th round? Either way, I thought they were stupid to count on Rodgers, he really is the problem. Arrogant as can be.

When the Packers drafted Love, he pouted all offseason. He runs that team. He's not draft his replacement.

Yes, I know all scores are automatically reviewed. As I said the NFL is over-officiated. And it is lame. 

But not as lame as dropping the ball in the field of play.

most of these Thursday night games are.     it takes these guys at least 2 days just to recover from the last game.  To ask them to play in just 3 games is absolutely ridiculous.    It isn't fair to the players and it's not good for the fans who want quality games.  They can fix this without losing Thursday Night Football.     When they add the 18th game (and they will), the players union needs to negotiate 3 things.  #1 TWO preseason games  #2 TWO bye weeks.    #3 - Teams can only play Thursday night games when coming off a bye week.   It can be done.  These schedule-making nerds are great.   If we can send people to the moon and bring them back alive we can certainly do that.      Sure, the Super Bowl won't be until late February.    Why would the NFL be against that.  Stay top of mind for an extra 2-3 weeks.      There should be a 5-day minimum between games.    So play some games on Saturdays too (before the end of the season).   Do you really think NFL owners care one bit about stepping on college football's toes?    It's only a matter of time until ALL pro and top-division college games are on pay channels.    You might get one or two FREE games a week.

I am tired of the Thursday night hate.  It’s fine. It’s nice having a Thursday game. They should get the bye after the Thursday game. Not before.

It would be refreshing if you didn't post here anymore because all you do is post nonsense.    The other team gets a first down and you attack Aaron Glenn.   The Lions don't get a first down Ben Johnson (the best OC in the NFL) should be fired.     It's a total joke.   You are as silly as these people that destroy $800 TV because the Cowboys lost a game.    I don't know why you watch.  Can't be enjoyable for you.      The only way you'd be happy is if the Lions scored a TD on every single drive and the Lions held the other team to 0 first downs.     They lose one game and you actually think they're a 6-11 team.   Your words, not mine.      Welp, they didn't go 17-0.   Coaches must be fired !!!!

TP is trolling and trying to get a rise out of everyone.  There are just people out there that do this online. 

I actually have friends that I text with that do a lot of the same thing.  Every injury or bad play, the season is over.  If they are not trolling than they are protecting themselves after dealing with the Lions their whole life.  Its kind of like breaking up with someone before they can break up with you.  They are emotionally unstable.  I have taken advantage with them and made some easy bets that have paid off lol.  I actually questioned one friend if he was TP lol.

I know Carolina was one of the jobs he turned down but wasn't Washington another? Just curious cause if he did then he may be regretting himself cause that Commanders job is looking real good right now.

Probably not gonna find a better one this year unless Sirianni gets fired and even then I think I'd rather have Daniels as my QB going forward than Hurts.

They could give teams a 2nd bye week without extending the season by just eliminating that 2 week wait for the Super Bowl.

I saw a story this past week that Johnson really wanted the Bears job last year. The only one he coveted if it was open. If it’s open after the season he just might jump.

after the way they botched that game in DC,  coach is on thin ice..............and it wasn't the Hail Mary play, it was the one before it that gave Daniels an extra 15 yards..........totally undefended.     Those 15 mattered, but after the game Eberflub said they didn't.   

If the Bears had an owner who was awake they might have thrown stuff at their TV after watching that presser.
