He said with gadgety type defenses that Flores uses that relies more on different blitz packages and less on actual talent tend to get worse as the season goes on when teams get more and more film on them and make the proper adjustments. Let's see if that plays out that way this year, judging by the last 2 weeks that could end up being the case. Goff and Stafford are also very experienced, high IQ players. Tell them where the open spot on the field is going to be and they will get the ball there.

Jason_R
Hate to hear but it is not near as big of a loss as Hutch. That said, they highlighted his replacement, Quesenberry, getting tossed around like a rag doll. Too bad for Darnold that he can only operate with a clean pocket. I think it is a bigger deal for them than Hutch. No clean pocket turns Darnold back to a pumkin.
RandyMarsh
Darrisaw is really really good, not quite Sewell level but he's pretty close. I believe some metrics like win rate may argue that he has been even better than him in pass protection since they both entered the league. If they need to get a message from upstairs, or whatever, they need to find a way not to miss these obvious calls. Its just another example of a play that gives the NFL a black eye. It really puts the league's credibility into question.

Sorry for them but Hutch was having a DPOY season and on pace to break the sack record.
Motor City Sonics
I think one day, maybe around 2033 or 2034 we're going to see a really sad story about a 35 or 36 year old Tua not being able to function in any reasonable way. It's sad to see a young guy in that situation but he should walk away.

IdahoBert
I just watched the Commanders Hail Mary pass that defeated Da Bares and it was more than merely amazing. The CBS announcers did not seem to respond to it in a particularly objective manner. But with the quarterback scrambling for what seemed like forever and the ball tipping off the hands of defenders into the arms of the Commanders it was pretty amazing. I've said it before and I'll say it again: I want my NFL games with my home town announcers. It's fortunately gotten better with the Lions improving, but I'm sure we all remember when the Lions were unknowns... player names mispronounced, incorrect info mentioned, or the same tied old crap game after game after game (Did you know that Stafford and Kershaw used to be team mates in highschool?!?). I want my announcers who know my team and know what stories are actually interesting and not rehashed trash. And yeah, I fully get that they'll be a little more homer-ish and that their bias will creep in. I'm 100% fine with that.
Motor City Sonics
New #1 on the Coach Hot Seat Rankings 1. Dennis Allen, New Orleans - 2nd degree burns at the moment 2. Antonio Pierce, Las Vegas - blisters will soon form. A constant mess. Bring back Rich. 3. Matt Eberflus, Chicago - Horrible coaching at the end of that game and bad excuses too. 4. Doug Pederson, Jacksonville - still very itchy with some red marks on his rear end. 5. Kevin Stefanski, Cleveland - it's cooled off a bit. The departure of #4 might save him, 6. Mike McCartly, Dallas. He should be #2, but I doubt Jerry does it mid season unless they lose 3 or 4 more in a row. Next year I don't think Belichick would take this job (lack of control), but I think Pete Carroll would. If the Giants fire Daboll, I think Jerry could hire hire him. Motor City Sonics
Those who are questioning Anthony Richardson's commitment after coming out of the game from being tired need to read about J.R. Richard and then maybe back off a bit. Be careful. You don't know what could be happening. Motown Bombers
If Richardson can’t complete a pass, all he can do is run and now you need a backup when he gets tired.
