My lord they keep finding new ways to win a game when they shouldn't. The 2022 Vikings give them a run for their money. Quote
MichiganCardinal Posted November 30, 2024 Posted November 30, 2024 Bills/Lions might be a Super Bowl preview by kickoff of that game, at least if bettors know what they're doing. Quote
Mr.TaterSalad Posted November 30, 2024 Posted November 30, 2024 And not only did the Chiefs win, they clinched a playoff spot at 11-1. We're 11-1 and and haven't clinched a playoff spot, which is stunning that we could be 11-1 and still be in the running to miss the playoffs (albeit it very unlikely). Not the Chiefs though, their 11-1 record clinches them a playoff spot. Quote

The only good teams I see are Buffalo, KC, Pittsburgh and Baltimore. And Baltimore and KC seem to be a step or two back from last year. The #4, #6 and #7 teams right now are Houston, LA Chargers and Denver. The NFC's top 4 teams are Detroit, Philly, Minnesota and Green Bay. I think Detroit and Philly match Buffalo and KC. I guess Pittsburgh and Baltimore are better than Minnesota and Green Bay, but not by a ton. Houston, LA Chargers and Denver don't seem any tougher to me than Washington, Atlanta and the Seahawks (or San Francisco). Quote

Except that Buffalo is likely to see some a bunch of 2nd stringers, depending on how quickly some guys can come back, as well as if Alex or Hutch could be ready by SB. Quote
RandyMarsh Posted November 30, 2024 Posted November 30, 2024 The Commanders just released their 1st rd pick from last year Emmaneul Forbes. He was somebody I liked going into the draft in 2023 and thought could've been an option in the 2nd round(surprised he went in the 1st), I don't know if he is a fit here or not given his relative thin frame and lack of physicality but I know he had great ball skills coming out of college and with all the injuries we have going on he could be a high reward type of pick up.....if somebody else doesn't get to him first which I'm sure they will just cause of the upside. Motown Bombers Posted December 1, 2024 Posted December 1, 2024 Washington has cut or traded all of their 1st round picks from 2019 to 2023. They even had multiple 1st round picks in 2019. Quote
ben9753 Posted December 1, 2024 Posted December 1, 2024 (edited) Found TP on Reddit https://www.reddit.com/r/detroitlions/s/eFlV7cWBvN Pretty sure it’s sarcasm but the other option is it’s actually TP and serious. Edited December 1, 2024 by ben9753 Quote
Shinzaki Posted December 1, 2024 Posted December 1, 2024 It's a meme on Reddit...**** post Ben Johnson with the hope of scaring other teams off Quote
RatkoVarda Posted December 1, 2024 Posted December 1, 2024 It is also well known in NFL circles that Ben Johnson has a $10K per week cocaine habit. Do not hire this guy! 1 Quote
Mr.TaterSalad Posted December 1, 2024 Posted December 1, 2024 Justin Tucker has completely fallen apart now. He's missed 3 FGs and/or extra points today. Just last year he was the best kicker in the league, now he's one of the most inaccurate. Quote
MichiganCardinal Posted December 1, 2024 Posted December 1, 2024 He's under contract through 2027 too. I'll take Bates. 1 Quote
Sports_Freak Posted December 2, 2024 Posted December 2, 2024 Bills/Niners....Buffalo is my 2nd favorite team. Quote
Motor City Sonics Posted December 2, 2024 Author Posted December 2, 2024 Look at all of these last-possession games. This league is fixed, man. Eberflus was paid a lot of money to play the fool in the story. None of it is real. The league makes more money with the lowly Detroit Lions getting good and building up sympathy and sales. That's all it is. Dan Campbell is a character. Jared Goff is a Human Interest Story. Jaymo's the unrly teenager. Fake, man, Fake. Quote

Motown Bombers Posted December 2, 2024 Posted December 2, 2024 The Lions are 11-1 and the Eagles are 10-2. Three losses combined between the two of them. Tampa has beaten both of them. Tampa accounts for two of the three losses. Quote
MichiganCardinal Posted December 2, 2024 Posted December 2, 2024 SF looks really bad. Like, possibly easiest game remaining bad. Quote
Motown Bombers Posted December 2, 2024 Posted December 2, 2024 Trey Lance trade is looming large. Would have been nice if the 49ers had some first-round picks to supplement this aging and expensive roster. Would be an utter disaster if they hadn't lucked into Purdy. Quote

Since 2019 they've played in 12 playoff games. It can take it's toll. It hasn't with KC, but KC has done a better job of cycling players out for new players. SF is just wore down. So many injuries. Plus contract holdouts with key players. It all adds up. That's why the Lions window is pretty short with another couple of years. The lovefest won't continue forever, you're going to end up with guys who start holding out and complaining about this and that. They key is drafting. I trust Brad Holmes with this. If he keeps drafting the way he has, the team should always be relevant. If Brad Holmes keeps doing this, we'll think of 10-7 or 9-8 as a terrible season. 1 Quote

This turd is going to be in charge of national health. I'd rather see him keep playing and keep losing. Quote
