Caleb has always had a unique talent to make amazing throws on the run.   It’s probably only matched by Mahomes, Lamar, and Allen.    It jumps out when you watch his tape that only a few people on the planet could make some of the plays.

Maybe it got lost in the awe of the skill that nobody ever stopped and asked why was he in that predicament in the first place.  It’s easy to blame on the OL but how many times did he miss an easy read that he should’ve made or waited too long on an open play.   He seems like a smart guy that wants to win but he’s definitely struggling to make the easy play and that has to change for him to be successful.

Maybe, but he doesn't seem to have any real football awareness.  Reports are didn't even know they only needed a field goal to tie on Thanksgiving Day.  Many of the sacks he's taken show no awareness.  He has elite skills which have always gotten him by, but does he have the head to be more than a talented athlete?

The coaches he has aren't doing him any favors. It's hard to evaluate the kid with bosses who are idiots. I say he'll be a fine QB if the Bears get somebody who knows what they're doing.

Maybe.  There are a lot of players with elite skill who never really make it, especially QB’s.  He will definitely get many chances because of his undoubtedly extremely rare skill level (maybe costing many coaches their jobs along the way)

i have been concerned drafting him.

He'll also get many chances because of being a #1 overall pick.

Kirk Cousins out in Atlanta

Seemed odd that they spent so much to get him and then drafted a QB in the first round.

I thought it seemed odd to hire a career 17-31 coach as a retread. But what do I know.

A team with that kind of talent on offense should be a lot better.

Is cousins done?    Seems like someone could use a veteran QB somewhere.

I don't know that there is a player that took more financial advantage of their average talent than he did.

Atlanta has the same problem as about half the league.  They made the mistake of building their offense around QB and skill positions instead of QB and offensive line.

I’m a Cousins fan, and I think he could do pretty well in a better situation. At the same time, he’s 36. He shouldn’t need to be coach able to succeed.

We should sign Cousin's for when Goff gets hurt this week and goes out for the season.

And here I thought Hooker was already the next understudy waiting to be an all-star. 😳

The Jets would prolly give him a 10 year contract. They're really stupid.

They will have an 18th game within 5 years.   With it should come 1 extra bye week (so what if the season lasts until late February).    It should also come with a roster expansion to 60.

But as long as we continue with the stupid 17th game,  why aren't they all at Neutral Stadiums?

3 in London

2 in Frankfurt

2 in Dublin

2 in Barcelona

2 in Rome

2 in Toronto

2 in Tokyo

2 in Mexico City

Maybe rotate around and include Sydney and Sao Paolo.

Makes too much sense.

I think the real reason is that you have some (most) owners who (rightfully) want their team playing as few international games as possible, while others (like Khan) stupidly want their team in more international games. So long as that is the case, and they can still make money taking volunteers first, there is no incentive to prioritize logic and competitive sense.

Khan cares far less about winning than he does about maximizing the value of the franchise. If the NFL granted him the first non-US franchise in London, with a population 10x that of Jacksonville, and with the UK population being around 70 million, the value of his franchise would grow massively.

GB leading New Orleans 21-0 at the half. With the Packers playing the Bears the final week of the season, potential for the final North standings to be Detroit 15-2, Green Bay 13-4, Minnesota 13-4. Imagine finishing 3rd in the division with a 13-4 record.

I feel like the Jets were really stupid in firing Robert Saleh, but actually for Robert, it was a great move.  He's away from that mess.   I don't think he was the reason the Jets were terrible.    I think he gets another shot at being a Head Coach (as long as he has a No Prima Donna QB clause).    If Aaron Glenn gets the Saints or some other Head Coaching job, I wouldn't mind the Lions bringing Saleh in as a DC.

I thought for sure today’s 31-2 win by Baltimore would be a Scorigami (unique final score that has never been recorded before in NFL history). Nope, two other games have ended 31-2, in 1965 and 1936. The Lions’ 52-6 win over Jacksonville was a scorigami.

There was a point in that game where Houston punted and downed the ball at about the two-yard line. I was hoping for another safety for the rare score of four points. I can't tell if it has ever happened other than the November 25, 1923 tilt between the Racine Legion and the Chicago Cardinals which ended 10-4.
