You have to sit as many people tomorrow as possible. I know it’s not the easiest.  But you can’t risk a major injury in an exhibition game.

I assure you they will not. Every starter will play the entire game.

So since the Niners game is meaningless I'd be resting some guys. They should treat it like a second bye week. The Lions depth is already thin as is on defense so it would be foolish to play everybody.

There's no reason for them to do that IMO. Why? As I said before, treat it like a second bye week especially for the guys that are a bit banged up.

You can only rest so many players. This isn't a 90 man training camp roster.

I'm saying to only rest some guys especially on defense. I'd rest Za'Darius Smith and Arnold to name two, the depth is just way too paper thin at those positions.

What's logical and what will really happen are two different things. You sit people and get bounced and the coaching staff will have a hard time getting mentally prepared next week vs. the most important game of the season.

It's just not the Dan Campbell way. If the Vikings had lost today and the Lions won tomorrow, Campbell would have played all the starters against Minnesota too. You don't take the foot off the gas, ever.

The fan next to where I sleep every night has High, Medium and Low.    The Detroit Lions do not have variable speeds.

You're not saying they shouldn't protect the starters, you're just saying Dan Campbell won't rest them. I agree he won't but I would, and he doesn't play them at all in the preseason.
