Wow,  that's harsh, man.       This seems to happen more to Black coaches, doesn't it, one-and-dones?

You can blame him for the year they had.  They don't have the players, Belichick left it a mess.     This has to be an attempt to grab Vrabel, right?

Vrabel's name will be mentioned with the Cowboys,

Frank Reich, Nathaniel Hackett, and Urban Meyer were all recent white coaches who were one and done. The black coaches who were one and done were Lovie Smith and David Culley and it was by the same organization that hired a black replacement.

There's been more than that.  Steve Wilks was  one and done.    And I am not counting Urban Meyer.  That was a absolute no-brainer move based on his awful behavior, that was different.

That was 2018. If you want to go back that far, you have Freddie Kitchens, Chip Kelly, and Jim Tomsula.

Rams lost. Vikings will play the Rams in the first round.

Oh man, this jacks up the pressure even more, IMO. Lions would win a road game over Tampa, am not sure about beating the Rams in LA. So cannot be the 5th seed!

Sucks for the Vikings. Here you have just an amazing season winning 14 games... but you happen to be in the same division at the 15 win Lions so you end up 5th seed and have to go on the road.

14 wins! My goodness... only two losses through much of the season and that happened when you faced the Lions and then had to go on the road to face the the Rams. Now your third loss comes at the end of the season facing the Lions and now you have go on the road and... um... oh no... ohhhh no.

Brutal road schedule next year.

so the extra 17th game is at KC? is that part of the usual formula? or is the NFL thinking about the monster ratings? the networks will fight each other tooth and claw for that game

Lawrence should demand a trade if he wants to still have a chance at a halfway decent NFL career.

I keep thinking about how in 2021 the Lions won a "meaningless" game against Green Bay at the end of the season that knocked them out of the #1 overall pick and gave it to Jacksonville. The Lions should have lost for the better pick. That is why the Jaguars are a poverty franchise and have gone through two coaches since.

I don't follow MB. if the Lions pick 1st, I think they still pick Hutch, so the Jags take Martin and it nets out the same. Or do you just mean Campbell was building a winning culture and the Jags weren't?

The Lions were organization building a winning culture which was important in year one. A lot of people felt the Lions blew their chance to draft Hutchinson by winning a meaningless game. They ended up being to do both, draft Hutchinson and build a winning culture.

Bears and Jets have requested an interview with Steelers OC Arthur Smith.   I don’t get it.    Their offense had a few nice weeks but they’ve been awful the last 6 games or so.   Steeler fans would probably be jumping for joy to lose him.
