Hongbit Posted January 10 Posted January 10 Jets ownership is dysfunctional but I don’t think AG turns down the chance to coach Sauce Gardner and turn him back into an all-pro corner. Quote

If Glenn and Johnson both leave, I hope it's to the AFC. Please, not Chicago. And I wish them both luck, they'll both be part of Detroit Lion lore. And I guess there's a new coaching tree? The Dan Campbell tree. 😆 Quote
RandyMarsh Posted January 10 Posted January 10 (edited) If I was AG I'd be real selective on the job I took and had a relatively good idea of the leash I would have and timeline Id have to see my vision through cause it may be his only chance at one. Defensive minded coaches seem to not get as many chances as their offensive counterparts so if he fails right off the bat and gets canned after a year or so there is a decent chance he may never get another head coaching gig. Motown Bombers Posted January 10 Posted January 10 Lions with 4 first team All-Pros. Would have had 5 if Hutchinson didn't get injured. That would have been two from each of Holmes first two drafts. Quote

Motown Bombers Posted January 10 Posted January 10 I think the Lions play a game in Germany. Germany is the Lions new internation marketing thing, and St Brown was cutting promos in German when he was told of his All-Pro selection. Quote

Motown Bombers Posted January 10 Posted January 10 First four rounds of Holmes first three drafts. Not included are late picks who have been contributors like Rodriguez and Houston. Quote

Other than the Red Sox selling Babe Ruth to the Yankees, this has got to be the worst trade in pro sports history (in the U.S.). Quote

romad1 Posted January 12 Posted January 12 I'm relieved that Carlos Monnorez picked against the Lions to win SB. He has a track record of being a bad picker. 1 Quote
Motown Bombers Posted January 12 Posted January 12 The Lions management of the cap has been exceptional. Even with big contracts kicking in, they still project to have over $57 million in cap space. That still doesn't include any settlement from the Cam Sutton situation. Quote

And the Jets are looking in the couch cushions for extra change. I still say they should have drafted a QB last draft. Quote
