Btw, that Harrison Ford Jeep commercial is the worst thing I’ve seen on TV tonight. Worse than the Chiefs OL or Kendrick Lamar’s vocals. I figured once you learned I was a G Purps fan, you knew I was down Quote
Hongbit Posted February 10 Posted February 10 Personally, I liked that 2 second clip of “Can I Kick it” by Tribe Called Quest better than the entire halftime show. Quote

Mr.TaterSalad Posted February 10 Posted February 10 Just now, Hongbit said: Are you kidding? There was no way our banged up team was going to beat this Eagles team. Lions would’ve been starting Vildor at corner too. If we'd have played KC we'd be winning this game is what I was saying. We would have had Philly at homec in the NFC Championship Game, not that it would have mattered in the end likely. Quote

Deleterious Posted February 10 Posted February 10 What was the payout if you took Serena Williams to Crip Walk during the halftime show? Quote
Motown Bombers Posted February 10 Posted February 10 There's a very good chance the Lions open the season at Philadelphia. 1 Quote

romad1 Posted February 10 Posted February 10 Lions need to ramp up their defense to play as well as Eagles did last night. Quote
Jimbo Posted February 10 Posted February 10 I can't wait for the over reactions to the game last night. Everyone is going to say we need to do whatever it takes to get a better defensive line. You do not want to be the team chasing trends of success, you want to be the trend. Not sure what was happening with KC's offensive line. I don't think Philly blitzed once. I know Philly's front 4 was very good but that was just dominance like I have ever seen. Lions were the best team in the league on paper at the beginning of the year although you can not sustain injuries like they did. That is part of the game. Maybe not the extent the Lions endured though. Philly stayed relatively healthy for whole year. Not only does that build cohesion it enables you to rest your dominant players. This is also an example of Any Giving Sunday and having the perfect match up. Quote
Hongbit Posted February 10 Posted February 10 Philly’s dominant offensive line was just as big of a factor. KC had made it to last night in a large part because their pass rush has been so good especially late in games. Hurts had all day to pass as the Eagles completely neutralized the rush. I wonder if the success of Jordan Mailaita coming over from Australia as a rugby player will be the trend. Teams will start looking in obscure corners for athletic big men with an attitude that they can teach to block. The Lions have already jumped on the train with Manu. Quote
MichiganCardinal Posted February 10 Posted February 10 I think last night was as much an indictment on KC’s offensive line as it was an endorsement of Philly’s defensive line. As much as the broadcast was drooling over Fangio, when your players are just winning one-on-one battles, you’re going to have a good time. I think we see KC take a step back next year. Their defense will still be good, but the offense is one man, and he looked pretty human this year. Quote

The 2nd half was definitely a snooze fest other than the Mahomes bombs at the end. I was at least a bit surprised/disappointed in Andy Reid though. He has one of the most escapable QBs in the NFL and hardly rolled him out or reversed or screened, or basically did anything to try to freeze the Philly D-line penetration. Maybe he decided they were too over matched for anything to work. 1 1 Quote

If this was the audio heard on TV last night many more people would have enjoyed it. The audio feed was really bad and I couldn’t understand a word he was saying. Which made it a terrible performance. Quote
