Wonder when they are going to give Jace a 1st baseman's glove.  Yea, third is relatively new and it needs to be his focus but just think of the flexibility it would provide.

no 1B glove at least until he hits his 1st MLB HR.

I don’t think we know where anyone is going to end up until late March. Infield is a mess right now, so consequently, it’s pretty open and subject to change.

always fun to go into a season with 3 of 4 IFs having no track record and the 4th having one you'd rather he didn't.

Keith was pretty good at second and I would be comfortable with him there. Problem is all of our good prospects play second. If Keith could play third it would help a lot.

by the eye test, Keith looked OK, definitely makes a good quick accurate DP turn. BR didn't like his fielding at all, Statcast rated him even, pretty large disagreement there.

He's a big body and if he gets any bigger third might be the more natural fit range wise, but we don't know the medicals on his arm.

adding a Kim (either one) to the mix adds to the uncertainty as well

Anyone have interest in signing Scherzer or Verlander? It might sell a few more tickets. But I'm not sure it would equal more wins.

Are you Chris Ilitch? 😉

I’d like to see JV close his career out in Detroit. I’d guess he would be open to the idea but I’m afraid money and years would be an issue for both sides.

if that is the 10th move Harris makes this Winter, fine. But they are now more window dressing than impactful.

Wish the fans would start Tarik Skubal chants at random Detroit sports events.   He's not quite that level of transformational figure though.  Detroit has had Cy Young winners but we have not had a great QB since the days of Charlie Ba...oh, who am I kidding, it was a three game stretch when Dave Kr...sheesh.  Not in my lifetime have we had a great QB.

Stafford is by far the greatest quarterback in Lions’ history, and his Super Bowl wasn’t even with us. And Goff is already breathing down Bobby Layne’s neck.

Seriously.... WTF are we waiting for..... Go Get Flaherty and Beuhler NOW! Crazy. We are going to wait to go bargain shopping then we'll miss out on everyone... Oi vey.

I don't think I would want to make the decision today to rely on either to be what we need two or three years from now, which is a key reason you want to sign a guy to a long-term deal in the first place.

Both of these guys would be solid five year players. High Risk, HIgh reward. But you pair them with Jobe and Skubal, you could potentially have four #1's.... Not to mention the pitchers behind them. It's time.

If we sit on our laurels and do nothing, I don't think we make the playoffs next year. I still think this past season was a mirage..... Man I hope I'm wrong but I don't think I am.

I am sure he would cost us some prospects but Suzuki would make a nice RH OF option and has 2 years left on his deal.

What are the Cubs looking for in return ? Who do you think it would take to get him ?

He would not be cheap, but he does have an 18M per year contract for the next 2 years. He was worth 3.5 WAR last year. My best guess? Maybe one of Hamm, Hao-Yu Lee, Melton, or Madden and Max Anderson, Campos or Rucker. They want/need pitching so my guess would be something like a Madden and Campos trade if they wanted an arm closer to the Bigs?

Sure, when he's not dropping easy fly ball.
