Cruzer1 Posted February 3 Posted February 3 (edited) 2 years 35 million. Great deal. Flaherty. Edited February 3 by Cruzer1 Quote
monkeytargets39 Posted February 3 Posted February 3 (edited) Beautiful. 2 year deal for Flaherty for 35 mil. Opt out after the first year. I like our rotation now. Skubal/Flaherty/Olsen/Cobb/Jobe or Mize. That will be verrry competitive in the ALC this year. Edited February 3 by monkeytargets39 Quote

Expand I’m good with that because it buys us time with Jobes progression, gives us a year to see how SGL returns from injury, and gives us one more year to decide what to do with the likes of Mize/Manning/Montero/Hurter. oblong Posted February 3 Posted February 3 Rosenthal said 2nd year goes to $20 if he makes 15 starts which he should. If he doesn’t… then he probably will not opt out. Quote
Tiger337 Posted February 3 Posted February 3 Flaherty gets 2 years, $35 million. Great deal for the Tigers! 2 Quote
gehringer_2 Posted February 3 Posted February 3 This is not a that large an economic commitment, I wonder if an offer to Bregman remains on the table. Quote
chasfh Posted February 3 Posted February 3 Flaherty at 2/35. I don’t love the player opt out, but yeah, I’m down. Quote

Tiger337 Posted February 3 Posted February 3 I didn't see the opt out first, but the other deal was too good to be true. I am still happy with it. One year at a time with pitchers is fine. 1 Quote

Also makes me wonder if one of our young SP could be dealt (Mize?) for a bat. 1 Quote

Tigermojo Posted February 3 Posted February 3 They get him for another year and if he does prove to be healthy, they could extend him. Quote
Mr.TaterSalad Posted February 3 Posted February 3 I'm a big fan of that Flaherty deal. We now have three solid, reliable starters in the rotation again and were able to do it for minimal costs. Well, we should be resigning Skubal to a big deal, but that hasn't happened yet. Quote
Tigermojo Posted February 3 Posted February 3 I think my fan bias is showing because I think this is a great deal but Kim's deal wasn't. Quote
