Tiger337 Posted February 12 Posted February 12 I expect Cobb to have very limited innings given his history. I'm really glad they added Flaherty as there will be injuries. Quote
Arlington Posted February 12 Posted February 12 I would follow you guys on BlueSky if I knew who to follow. Why don't we do a little mini-directory. I'm crunruh.bsky.social 2 Quote
papalawrence Posted February 12 Posted February 12 The Angels have been pummeled by injuries and longterm contracts Quote

He clearly stated that he doesn't care about baseball. I don't think he's hurt much at all. He just wants his money for nothin' Worst contract in sports history. Quote
Motor City Sonics Posted February 12 Posted February 12 If they hadn't signed Flaherty and Cobb was it for the staff, we'd be all over Mr. Harris right now - because there were plenty of signs with Cobb. The money he and Kenta will be soaking up like a sponge. Quote
RandyMarsh Posted February 12 Posted February 12 The Angels may be the only team that was hurt more than us with long term contracts. They got burned with Pujols, Josh Hamilton, CJ Wilson, Anthony Rendon and I believe even Trout started to go downhill after his extension. I'm sure there are others I'm forgetting about as well. This wouldn’t have happened to either the California or Anaheim Angels. Karma may take a while but she always shows up. Quote

romad1 Posted February 12 Posted February 12 Tigers Trade Mason Englert To Rays By Steve Adams | February 12, 2025 at 1:33pm CDT The Rays announced Wednesday that they’ve acquired righty Mason Englert from the Tigers in exchange for minor league lefty Drew Sommers. Tampa Bay opened a 40-man roster spot by transferring southpaw Nate Lavendar to the 60-day IL. Englert was designated for assignment in Detroit last week. Quote
RandyMarsh Posted February 12 Posted February 12 Obligatory post about Englert being an All Star since the Rays traded for him. 1 Quote
monkeytargets39 Posted February 12 Posted February 12 Congratulations Mason on splitting the 2025 Cy Young with Alex Faedo Quote

They have closed the gap enough that you might consider picking up an account there and seeding it with follows. 1 Quote

gehringer_2 Posted February 12 Posted February 12 Reports about Baez health all seem to be glowing. Getting anything out of him this season would be an unanticipated bonus. Quote

I’m not sold on Jung at 3B, not based on what was shown in his call up. It doesn’t mean he can’t do it, but I’d feel better about some time at Toledo to work on that. If Baez can be a legit everyday SS, or at least maybe the left side of the IF is handled well by Baez, Sweeney, and Vierling, that should …. OK, OK, maybe I’m being too optimistic on a wintry mix day. Quote
