This is weird MB. You have quoted a post of mine, but part of what appears in the quote was not in the original post? How does that happen? I posted excerpts from an article by D French directly from the NYT website to open that thread. It was all text only, and here where you quote my post, there is a demographics chart was not in the original post or in the original NYT story. Where did that come from? I'm also not sure what the post as to do with Tlaib but that's a different question.

pfife
Lol so as your evidence of antisitism on the left you posted a link to a thread where you're the top poster and also where you posted dozens upon dozens of antisemitic videos? What an incredible self own for someone claiming to not be antisemitic lol
Motown Bombers
Yes, I gave Chas a link where I provided a multitude of examples of the left being antisemitic. I’m glad you agree those are examples of leftists being antisemitic.

pfife
Try to keep up there guy. I've been saying it for months. Those are the dozens and dozens of antisemitic videos you posted, as I've pointed out dozens of times.

Motown Bombers
Just so we are clear, I posted numerous of tweets calling out and condemning antisemitism that included visual examples of the left being antisemitic. Pfife is just engaging in semantics. It would be similar to posting the video of the cops shooting that black woman with the boiling water and saying the poster of the video is the racist. The issue is pfife agrees with those leftists and got triggered when I called them out. That’s all I got to say on the matter. Weird how multiple other posters could call out antisemitism without propagating it. You chose a different route. Sorry you did that. That you would try to justify it by saying you virtue signaled while doing it isn't really convincing when you could have just virtue signalled without doing it Edited August 6 by pfife

oblong
When I watched the video I posted earlier where he signed the law and was with the girls, I had the suspicion that he had daughters. Why? Because of how he interacted with them. I read a thing a few years ago about how we as adults, especially men, need to be careful about things like hugging and picking up girls, even family members. Don't just assume they want to. We need to teach them that physical touch of any kind is not expected behavior from them and they can say no, even if it's an innocent hug from a man you know. If they reach out to hug you, then go ahead. I remember relatives who would practically beg for hugs or someone to 'sit on their lap'. Most of the time it was innocent but it can send a subliminal message to them for later that they don't have total agency on physical touch. That's just another version of "Have any examples?" "There's the Internet, look it up for yourself." I would hypothesize, based on my readings through the years and decades, that those leftists who are antisemitic are not at all representative of today's Democratic Party, whereas a distressingly high percentage of right wingers who are antisemitic are representative of today's Republican Party. I would also hypothesize that evangelical Christians by and large care only about the Jews to the degree that they are useful tools for bringing Jesus back to Earth, and that Christians do not respect the Jewish religion and in fact believe Jews, by dint of their faith, have punched their one-way ticket to Hell, as confirmed here and here. mtutiger
I see Vance made a comment about how Walz' burned Minneapolis to the ground.... which is weird, because it was, umm, still there and standing and all the last time I was there (about a year ago)? Christian belief about the enduring or not so enduring character of the Abrahamic/Mosaic covenant varies quite a bit. In my experience, non-fundamentalist protestant Christians claim no particular insight/dogma about the current status of Judaism. Obviously there is a powerful anti-Semitic heritage in Western Christianity inherited from the medieval Roman Church which is undeniable. As of Vatican II that has been formally repudiated by the RCC which holds that the old covenant does endure.
mtutiger
Yeah, we can talk all we want about home state advantages, but I don't know that there was a match on a more fundamental level here
