RandyMarsh
Javy has around a .700 OPS the past few weeks, honestly if he could just maintain something close to that next year it would really help this team.

1984Echoes
Nice 3-inning outing by Wentz actually... No runs, 3 K's. He hasn't had too many of those... Edited August 14 by 1984Echoes

Sports_Freak
If I told you we would score 15 runs total in a 3 game series, how many wins would we get? One? We all know there are some shutouts coming now...

It's probably easier to pick up players from outside who have the skill set to take in the coaching we're putting across than it is to try to retrofit players who have been in the system so long they were shaped by the prior coaching and can;t adapt to the new ways. Not referring to anything I've seen you say, but this is a big reason why I believe we should give Harris more time.
IdahoBert
Most RBIs for a Tigers catcher since Freehan! Parrish didn’t do it. Not a knock on Lance but it emphasizes how rare this is.

Did you hear what Gibby said in the 5th inning when Javy was up? He said Javy has been swinging the bat better THIS YEAR! WTH games has Gibby been watching? I guess the problem is that the balls haven’t been falling in or they’ve been falling into the catchers glove.
holygoat
Gibby is full-on corporate mouthpiece now. I was never a huge fan of him in the booth, but what I did like is that he would criticize the home team. Not so much any more.

Tigermojo
Skubal first in AL wins, ERA and strikeouts. One less strikeout than the NL leader but first in wins and ERA in MLB.

One reason, my opinion alone, is he wants to do what he can to raise awareness for Parkinson’s and this job helps him do that, along with doing Bernstein commercials.
