that almost looks like a pager on his chest...

I thought so too, or some hi-tech medical/sports science monitoring device....but after a quick google it is a boring wireless microphone

I wasn't entirely sure if he would join GR since he missed a few games late this season with an injury, so that is good to see.

Don't we have to let him graduate High School first before we send him off to Grand Rapids?

Nahhh, Child labor laws are being adjusted under Trumps administration to make up for all the deportations........

Griffins have been down bad lately, maybe due to all the callups.  As a team they aren't scoring.

for all of us that love nate danielson, his lack of driving the play down there doesnt bode well for him being in detroit next year.

kasper took a big leap in the ahl playoffs, we'll see if danielson can do the same.  lombardi too, but he's been injured.

Michigan State had a shocking end to their season last night losing 4-3 to 15th seeded Cornell.  Augustine was sharp as always and couldn’t do much on the two 3rd period goals including the game winner a man short with 10 seconds to go.

We should find out soon whether he’s signing an ELC or going back to State for another year.

I didn't watch the game but saw the final last night and was really surprised. NCAA hockey knockouts can be so unpredictable, some stacked Michigan teams have been bitten in past years.

MSU was the better team for most of the night.  An inspired Cornell team trying to give their retiring head coach one last run won the last 10 minutes.    You could see it coming in the last 5 and then an accidental tripping penalty gave Cornell a PP with under 2:00.

They beat heavily favored Quinnipiac just to get in the playoffs.  Wouldn’t shock me to see them beat BU to make it to the Frozen Four.

Andy Bernard would be so proud.

pens promote mcgroaty and koivunen.

meanwhile, we get jeff petry's return plus austin watson.

come on stevie.  i try to defend you and you do this.  youth and energy beat old and slow most days of the week.  we've been trying old and slow for a while now...

single game elimination hockey sucks too much puck luck for that to be the case

Congrats to the Western Michigan Broncos.   They beat UMass to qualify for their first ever Frozen Four.    Their Head Coach is former Red Wings Assistant Pat Ferschweiler.

Seems like MBN is having another great playoff game

He might not score 50 goals are something but I can't wait for MBN to be with the Wings they sorely need a player in his mold.  Also ASP is v good.

big and hard to play against are what they've been lacking from their forwards.

A little bummed selfishly because I wanted to see him in the pros.  In the end it might be for the best to stagger him and Cossa at GR, giving Cossa another season as the guy in GR without having to give Augustine games too.
