Hongbit Posted September 16, 2024 Posted September 16, 2024 Sherrone just announced that Orji will get the start. This is 100% the correct move but why announce it now instead of showing up on Saturday and making the change. He did Lincoln Riley a solid. Quote

Instead of a guy that throws to the wrong team, a guy who can't throw at all. Quote

Hongbit Posted September 21, 2024 Posted September 21, 2024 It’s been 17 years since these teams last met and John David Booty and Dwayne Jarrett torched Morgan Trent and the Michigan defense in the Rose Bowl. I had this game circled as a loss on the Trojans schedule before the season started based on Michigan’s strong defense and USC’s inexperience on both lines and their suspect defense. Thus far Michigan’s defense has been suspect and USC has played like a veteran team with great play from both lines. That’s college football. As for today, if SC plays like they did against LSU, they win handily. They have a huge coaching advantage and have had a week to work on a gameplan. If Michigan steps up on defense and gets great play from their NFL prospects and can hit a few big plays in the run game on offense, they can win on home turf. I know most of you have given up on the season but late money is starting to move in favor of Michigan. Should be a good one today and the start of a new conference rivalry. USC brought the full band with them and the Song Girls and their extra small white sweaters will be down on the field. USC 32 UM 18 Quote

lordstanley Posted September 21, 2024 Posted September 21, 2024 Loveland out. Even John Bacon is picking USC by 15. Quote
gehringer_2 Posted September 21, 2024 Posted September 21, 2024 "Stripe out" looks pretty ragged so far. Quote

Mr.TaterSalad Posted September 21, 2024 Posted September 21, 2024 I hope that shove that resulted in a 15 yard penalty was worth it. I hope that kid enjoyed and remembers this moment like he was hoisting the national championship trophy. God do I hate stupid penalties like that. Quote
Mr.TaterSalad Posted September 21, 2024 Posted September 21, 2024 3 and out on a drive that should have at least started in field goal range. This offense is plain bad. Quote
lordstanley Posted September 21, 2024 Posted September 21, 2024 Michigan’s offense is like a high school team’s. Maybe the QB will run, maybe the QB will hand off, maybe the QB will make a short flip, but highly unlikely QB can complete a downfield pass. Quote
lordstanley Posted September 21, 2024 Posted September 21, 2024 Great start for the defense though. Two 3 and outs, both with negative yardage. Quote

Shades of the Denard Robinson days except Denard was a unicorn runner. Quote
TP_Fan Posted September 21, 2024 Posted September 21, 2024 The lack of creativity from this offensive coaching staff is staggering. If it’s not working up the middle they are lost. And it’s not gonna work up the middle because teams are stacking the box. Don’t be so basic. Quote

On the one wide run where orji was short Denard is around the corner easily. But if the D keeps giving them the ball back they can break enough running plays like they just did. Quote
lordstanley Posted September 21, 2024 Posted September 21, 2024 Defense, wow. Michigan will take a lead into the 2nd quarter. Quote
Motor City Sonics Posted September 21, 2024 Posted September 21, 2024 Michigan's D has been incredible today. If the O can get it going. I feel like AO is going to click at some point. Quote
