Ohhh...yeah. I heard Madden has been doing better lately. Some of these young pitchers they've been calling up are doing better up here than they did in the minors. IdahoBert
Wow, that ballpark is really empty. Either everyone has already left or the fanbase is really religious and they all went to church today and stayed late.
RandyMarsh
The Sox downfall the past few seasons is extraordinary. I remember a couple years ago I along with many other people thought they were one of if not the best young and up and coming teams with guys like Moncada, Robert, Eloy, Vaughn, Giolito, Cease, Kopech among others. Just another example that growth from young players isn't guaranteed and sometimes they actually regress.

Which is probably the reason we haven't seen it yet. Of course, bring in ABS *AND* deaden the ball and you maybe get back the more balanced game we once had. But it won't happen. Today league management is too impatient. You can't make a change that will take a few years for everyone to adjust to even it it's the right thing to do.

Never a rabid Sox fan when we lived in Chicago during the 90s. My then 10 year old son's first MLB game was at Old Comiskey so he was a fan during the Frank Thomas years. I felt that I had failed as a father. 1

But even a limited number will drive the umps to start calling closer to whatever ABS does than what they call now because they won't want to be shown up every game. gehringer_2
his terrible start may have killed his chances for ROY, but Keith is an 825 OPS hitter over his last 250 PA - and he's still getting better. lordstanley
Tigers can get to .500 tomorrow. If the Tigers finish 21-10 and the Royals finish 14-18, will be tied for final wildcard spot unless Boston or Tampa goes on a run. Believe?
