RatkoVarda Posted August 28, 2024 Posted August 28, 2024 Fetter working his devil magic with Hurter and Hanifee. Goodness it helps to play bad teams. Quote
RandyMarsh Posted August 28, 2024 Posted August 28, 2024 Twins lose, now 6 back in the loss column. Quote

IdahoBert Posted August 28, 2024 Posted August 28, 2024 The announcers keep talking about the importance of coming to the Tigers and being with guys you played with in the minors. And they don’t have to elaborate on that, but we know what it means. Tram and Lou in Parrish et al. And why not? There’s no reason why it shouldn’t happen once every 40 years. Quote

Some of the money to veterans around the league makes me appreciate the youth movement more. I guess the Tigers have been building it the right way. Patience paying off? I sure hope so. Quote
Sports_Freak Posted August 28, 2024 Posted August 28, 2024 I looked up Rendon's contract. Holy cow, yes, that's the worst contract I've seen. The Angels agreed to terms with Rendon on Wednesday on a seven-year deal worth $245 million with no deferred money, a full no-trade clause and no opt-out. Quote

RatkoVarda Posted August 28, 2024 Posted August 28, 2024 they are over .500 in late August team is young; only one position player is over 29 (Ibanez) they have gotten better as season has progressed Hinch and Fetter are pretty good 2 Quote
Tigermojo Posted August 28, 2024 Posted August 28, 2024 Mize and Perez getting healthy. Olson was supposed to pitch his second bullpen session today. 1 Quote
Sports_Freak Posted August 28, 2024 Posted August 28, 2024 I was worried the Tigers would be tired after getting in late and the Angels having Monday off. But..these kids are young. And hungry. Winning is fun... Quote

RatkoVarda Posted August 28, 2024 Posted August 28, 2024 I wonder if Harris would claim Smyly and other pitchers who get waived over the next few days? Smyly over Wentz is an easy upgrade for nothing more than $. Quote
