Motown Bombers Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago ESPN manufactures this hype around Sanders, and then acts shocked when reality sets in. Quote
RandyMarsh Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago Raiders with back to back picks, surely one of them will be Sanders. Quote
Sports_Freak Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago Who was that QB a few years back who looked shell shocked when he was passed up? Was it Brady Quinn? Quote

Brady Quinn was like 20 years ago but yeah he had that look you described but even he was eventually still drafted in the first. Quote

Motown Bombers Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago There was Malik Willis who some thought the Lions should draft 2nd overall and dropped to the end of the 3rd. Quote
Motown Bombers Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago I'm convinced Sheduer Sanders was made up by ESPN. It's all to get ratings. They keep saying it's one of the most stunning developments in the history of the draft. It's only stunning to ESPN. Quote
buddha Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago what team is bringing in a guy like that to be a backup qb? a guy who is there to hold a clipboard and run the practice squad? a guy who has to have no ego and be able to do whatever the team asks of him? mr. "legendary"? i would argue it would need to be a team like the lions, or the ravens, or the steelers, teams with established qbs, head coaches, and cultures. to get him to stfu and work or get cut. you put him on the browns or the bears or the jets or the jags and he'll divide your team, be a distraction, and collapse everything. but he'll be in the news every day. to some teams that's important. I remember now, he was invited to the draft and was kinda humiliated when he didn't go early. Good times....😅😅 "Coming into the draft Quinn was considered to be one of the top players in the country, and was invited to the draft. Before the draft started, Quinn was labeled as a "franchise quarterback in the mold of Carson Palmer."[20] He was projected to be picked in the top ten and even could have been the number one overall pick." https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brady_Quinn Quote

RandyMarsh Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago Looking on twitter and I noticed a few different Bills fans being upset that we jumped them for TeSlaa, it sounds like there was a link with him and Buffalo, atleast among the local Buffalo media. Quote
RatkoVarda Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago Louis Riddick before the draft had TeSlaa as a 2nd round talent Isaac TeSlaa, WR, Arkansas TeSlaa is going to be a problem for opponents as a slot receiver at the next level. His size (6-foot-3, 214 pounds), speed (4.43) and explosive movement traits make him a matchup nightmare in the middle of the field. Despite his bigger frame, he can get off the line with good foot quickness, hits another gear when he gets to the third level and tracks the deep ball well. TeSlaa also shows the body control in the short/intermediate pass game to get separation against man coverage, along with the instincts to uncover when facing zone. He ultimately finished last season with 28 catches for 546 yards and three scores. But with size, speed, hands, after-the-catch upside and the ability to put defenders on the ground as a blocker, the lack of big-time production doesn't phase me. I like his skill set a lot, and I'm watching for TeSlaa to come off the board by the end of Round 2. Quote

RandyMarsh Posted 44 minutes ago Posted 44 minutes ago (edited) So there's this everyday guy in Australia who's first name and twitter handle is just Shadeur, anyway a couple high profile twitter accounts accidentally tagged it while typing out Sanders name so now there are 100s of thousands of replies and reposts mistakingly directed at that guy. Poor guy is gonna log into his account and wonder what the hell is going on. Edited 42 minutes ago by RandyMarsh Quote

Motor City Sonics Posted 6 minutes ago Posted 6 minutes ago Trump is demanding that the DOJ raid offices of NFL teams because they didn't draft a guy who's father was a great player. Quote
MichiganCardinal Posted just now Posted just now I went to bed last night after the pick. I'm a little surprised to see the anxiety in the thread. Holmes has a plan, and it's working much better than the Yzerplan. The vast majority of teams would kill to have a GM like Holmes. He set sky high expectations in 2021 with literally one of the best draft classes in NFL history with Sewell/Alim/ASB. Not every class with be that. He won't hit on every single pick of every single draft. It doesn't mean that because he drafted Brodric Martin in the 3rd round a few years ago, which looks to be possibly the biggest bust to date, we should start panicking when he trades up in the 3rd round for an athletic WR that wasn't really on our radar.
