Motown Bombers Posted 15 hours ago Posted 15 hours ago Once again, Holmes drafts a guy I didn't see coming. I did not see them trading up for a white receiver. Quote

Motown Bombers Posted 15 hours ago Posted 15 hours ago I have to say, I'm not impressed with the trade value, but I like the players. Quote

Mr.TaterSalad Posted 15 hours ago Posted 15 hours ago I don't like this pick. I just don't understand why Brad won't draft a pass rusher. This also seems like a developmental pick to me. He has traits with not much production. Nick Saban on the ABC draft coverage seemed to think this was too early. So did Desmond and their other analyst. This pick seems a bit of smartest guy in the room. Quote
Motown Bombers Posted 15 hours ago Posted 15 hours ago Receiver was an underrated need. Their #3 is a 31 year old Tim Patrick. They finally get a true X receiver. Quote

We're giving up a lot of trade value on these spots. I don't know **** about any team's draft board. But did anyone have this WR on their board this early? Was someone going to take him soon? And to give up a third to move up in the third is too much. Quote
buddha Posted 15 hours ago Posted 15 hours ago receiver is a definite need. but TWO THIRD ROUND PICKS????? please brad. i like you. but please... sigh. the lions are in quality over quantity phase. i get it. Quote
RandyMarsh Posted 15 hours ago Posted 15 hours ago I guess we just got to trust Brad but I don't get this at all. He's really going to have to end up being something to justify giving up both your 3rds next year for. Quote
1984Echoes Posted 15 hours ago Posted 15 hours ago The flipside is Brad is accumulating late picks. We now have two 6ths this year and three 7ths... What is Holmes planning to DO with all those picks? Inquiring minds want to know... (he has something up his sleeve?) Quote

It's actually three since they gave their 3rd from this year. Quote

Klondike Posted 15 hours ago Posted 15 hours ago Even Nick Saban is perplexed getting him before the 4th or 5th round. Am I missing something Quote
Nate7474 Posted 15 hours ago Posted 15 hours ago Physical attributes are elite. if the hands are there and he becomes a good route runner there's a lot of potential in that player. With that said I hate the value of the pick even if I do consider it a need. Felt like there were a decent amount of good EDGE pieces and without a pick until the 6th round I'd find it hard to believe any of them slip. Quote

This kid seems like a project to me, which isn't what I want for an early 3rd round pick. 28 receptions, 546 yards, and 3 TDs aren't stats that jump off the page to me for a #1 WR on an SEC team. Motown Bombers Posted 15 hours ago Posted 15 hours ago With the way people talk about pass rushers, you would think the Lions don't have the best pass rusher in the league. Quote
AlaskanTigersFan Posted 15 hours ago Author Posted 15 hours ago Two things: 1. Is there a site that shows what pieces are traded in these trades? 2. This dude is top 30 ALL time in RAS scores and looks like he was amazing at the Senior bowl. What makes him a non 1st/2nd round grade? Top 30 all team seems pretty impressive to me. I dunno what I'm missing there....... Quote
RandyMarsh Posted 15 hours ago Posted 15 hours ago Also unless he had a 1A and 1B option it was a little risky giving up all that capital for a single player when you weren't even on the clock. Quote
