Jackson appears to be a massive culture fit and a special teams contributor. Walked on to Georgia, and was a fan favorite.

Struggles in coverage, but had two blocked kicks on special teams.

It's not 2021, but I think it'll be a solid class, barring injury.

Williams should pan out as a quality contributor, even if not a top-ten DT in the league. His job will be to plug the middle of the defense, stuff the run, and disrupt the pocket enough in order for Hutchinson to win his DPOY award(s). I get the feeling that Williams will be the kind of guy who won't be a household name nationwide, but who will get his roses on this defense and with this fanbase.

I am probably the most excited about Ratledge, who I think has the ceiling of Frank Ragnow. I'm excited to see him on this offensive line, especially if he gets to play next to Sewell.

TeSlaa is likely the defining pick though. Certainly the riskiest. I think he ultimately contributes as a quality X receiver, though maybe not this year. I'm not projecting him to be Mike Evans or Puka Nacua, though I don't think it's absurd to say that could be his ceiling with his athleticism and how new he is to the position. In five years, no one will care or remember that we traded a fair number of assets to get him though. A TeSlaa jersey in blue might be my rookie pickup this year, along with a Jamo in black.

Miles Frazier likely sticks around too for the entirety of his rookie deal, contributing on the offensive line. Hassanein will be a fun watch, and could easily turn into a fan favorite, though I don't expect him to compete with Paschal, Onwuzurike, or Davenport on the line as a rookie.

Dan Jackson looks like a fun player too, easy to root for. Dominic Lovett I know nothing about. Both should be special teams contributors, but won't define the draft in either direction.

My 2 cents plus some additions:

I think Tyleik will turn into Alim McNeil 2.0. Which means we will have the "Bash Brothers", or "Bruise Brothers", or whatever corny nickname catches on for these two, in the middle of our defense line. I predict nightmares for OC's we face once we get Alim back healthy.

I'm excited about Ratledge and Frazier and the future of our O-Line too. We're getting close to some transitions (Glasgow, Ragnow, Decker... Zeitler already left) but I'm starting to feel really optimistic now whenever all these transitions happen.

I'll get back to the O-Line in a sec...

I like TeSlaa. If he becomes half of Puka Nacua (his inspiration) we did well with this pick. 

I think Jackson and Lovett are special teamers. At least for now. Maybe they can become backups in their positions but, we'll see.

I'm actually interested in some of their UDFA's (again).

Caden Prieskhorn (TE, Ole Miss) looks like an actual prospect. Not a high-end TE prospect, more like a Brock Wright 2.0 type of prospect. Good enough to have a chance at making the roster as 3rd TE or at least the Practice Squad.

Ian Kennelly (Safety, Grand Valley State) looks like an actual prospect. Even looks like more of a 3rd safety than Dan Jackson, IMO. But Div II college. Still, good enough (IMO) to have a chance at making the roster as 3rd Safety or at least the Practice Squad, to develop.

Leif Fautanu (Center, ASU) looks like an actual prospect. Probably starts out on the Practice Squad. We'll hear more in training camp whether he has a chance... or not.

We have a Center UDFA from last year still with us, Kingsley Eguakuan... The transition from Ragnow in the future is a little less clear than at Guard. Or even Tackle (Manu for Decker...?) So I'll be interested in how Fautanu and Eguakun develop. Are they backups only? Or could they actually push to start...?

We also signed Za'Darius Smith's nephew - Jackson Meeks, WR, Syracuse - as a priority UDFA for $200K. Isn't that funny? But he's another X, although with less speed/ athleticism than TeSlaa. 

Still... very interesting...!

I haven't been that interested in UDFA's in years but... I think I want to follow these guys to see how they do in training camp... along with our drafted rookies...

The Lions draft guys who play hard and can move...they want to get on you and  pressure you into making mistakes.  The Pistons play a physical style of defense...they want to pressure you into making mistakes so they can burn you in transition.  The Tigers pound the zone...make you hit their pitch.  They control the zone and try to make you throw them their pitch..they take extra bases when ever they can.  They pressure you.  Al three teams are built on competitiveness, character and our new favorite term...GRIT.

The outlier here locally?  The Red Wings.....C'mon Stevie..build a team with some GRIT

He dinged Holmes for not drafting for need at DE...even though Holmes doesn't draft for need .

Marco Kasper and Michael Brandsegg-Nygard are just that kind of player. As is Moritz Seider, on defense.

Yes Holmes drafts for need but unlike the media, which just remembers that Detroit could not get pressure on Washington in the playoffs, Holmes remembers that they have Aidan Hutchinson coming back. And he probably has an understanding with Zadarius Smith, in addition to some solid pieces already on the roster. Edge is not as big of a need as the media thinks. 
 

McNeil is not coming back until around Halloween. Reader is year to year. Defensive tackle is an urgent need. Zietler is gone. Glasgow is depth at this point, not starter material. Guard is an urgent need. Tim Patrick is year to year. Jaymo may not get a second contract here. WR is a need.
