It would still be cool, but it's not quite the same as a solo no hitter. 

If the Tigers win in the playoffs with this pitching strategy, there will be a lot of talk about it.  I don't think the masses will care about it based a regular season game.  

I don't think you can say the ship has sailed yet.  Just because the Tigers have had success with it doesn't mean that it will become standard procedure or even that the Tigers will try it again next year.

The ship that has sailed is the idea that no-hitter as can be only solo efforts.
