IdahoBert Posted September 14, 2024 Posted September 14, 2024 Hurter is being pretty economical with his pitch count. Quote
IdahoBert Posted September 14, 2024 Posted September 14, 2024 If the Tigers could have one of those classic, as of late, 5-run innings that would be great. Quote

SoCalTiger Posted September 14, 2024 Posted September 14, 2024 Hanover gets the first guy and almost DP. Quote
SoCalTiger Posted September 14, 2024 Posted September 14, 2024 So the no-hitter is a headline already in the Detroit News. So much for not jinxing anything Quote
IdahoBert Posted September 14, 2024 Posted September 14, 2024 I guess they used Hurter as much as they felt comfortable using him with the future in mind which is a rational decision. Hopefully we can get to Soto. Quote
chasfh Posted September 14, 2024 Posted September 14, 2024 Not a very special game through eight, but a special game nevertheless. People will dismiss it because it’s combined, but get used to it because the ship has sailed. What I’ll be interested to see, if this happens, is whether all of a sudden everyone is going to be talking about the Tigers’ pitching strategy of openers, bulk relievers, and matchup specialists. Sports_Freak Posted September 14, 2024 Posted September 14, 2024 It's one thing when Montero dominates Colorado but something totally different when Hurter dominates a very good Baltimore line-up. Quote
