lordstanley Posted September 18, 2024 Posted September 18, 2024 Win! What a ride the Tigers are on. Quote
Tigermojo Posted September 18, 2024 Posted September 18, 2024 Brilliant strategy by Hinch. Just win all the games. 1.5 behind Minnesota and 3 behind KC. 1 Quote
Sports_Freak Posted September 18, 2024 Posted September 18, 2024 Tigers pitching has been amazing. Starters and BP. And we're scoring runs now, can we trust it for next season? Quote
Adullin Posted September 18, 2024 Posted September 18, 2024 Big win. It's so much fun to have meaningful baseball games back 1 Quote
lordstanley Posted September 18, 2024 Posted September 18, 2024 The Tigers could close to within 2 of KC with a win tomorrow but my count, they'll lose the tiebreaker with KC, no? A win tomorrow would tie the season series, but the 2nd method is record within the division and KC has an insurmountable lead at 33-18 vs the Tigers' 26-22. Or am I getting something wrong (I wish I am)? Quote

We have clinched the TB against Seattle in the event that comes Into play. 2 Quote
IdahoBert Posted September 18, 2024 Posted September 18, 2024 I have to admit I’m amazed they won this game. It just seemed like they couldn’t put it together, but they held them off and came through in the end in a way that we’re getting used to, but shouldn’t. This is really an amazing stretch. Quote

IdahoBert Posted September 18, 2024 Posted September 18, 2024 I wish tomorrow’s game was a day game. I’m really in the mood for a day game. Quote
romad1 Posted September 18, 2024 Posted September 18, 2024 I'm loving this punk kid Tigers team. 1 Quote

They’re young enough to perhaps be stupidly confident, but also young enough and smart enough to respect the coaching they’re receiving and it’s kind of the best of both worlds. Quote
Sports_Freak Posted September 18, 2024 Posted September 18, 2024 Johnny Kane sounds like an idiot when he giggles asking a question. Quote
gehringer_2 Posted September 18, 2024 Posted September 18, 2024 (edited) I don't think the Tigers have been 6 over 500 since the end of the 2016 season. Edited September 18, 2024 by gehringer_2 2 1 Quote
RandyMarsh Posted September 18, 2024 Posted September 18, 2024 We got 10 left and Minnesota has 11. If we can finish 7-3 that will force them to go 6-5, definitely doable. Quote
gehringer_2 Posted September 18, 2024 Posted September 18, 2024 BTW - did anyone notice in the forum stats that we had 350 lurkers for last Thursday's day game? Quote
