They only had to use 3 pitchers tonight...aside from Holton, everyone else is on two full days rest. You have be ruthless tomorrow.

Holton only threw 18 pitches. He should be fine for Sunday, if we need him.

I wanna hear this story. Maybe some visual aide? 😆😆

Tricia, the on-field broadcaster was wearing a tight leather top. And Trey was trying not to look down.

Keith needed to DH because of a slight shoulder injury.

Then bench Carpenter or Keith. Don’t mess with the defense which has fueled our run and supported our good pitching. IMO.

Hindsight. Carp has played RF enough in his career. It's not like he put somebody with no experience out there. I didn't see the play but if Meadows didn't lose the ball, he has to take charge.

I’ll allow it.  If we’re gonna drop a game, let it be against Burnes.  We can take the next two.

Selfishly, since I wasn't able to watch/listen, I'm OK with it.  but I'd be OKer with it if the Twins had also lost, so that kind'of sucks.

Good point but not hindsight. I am playing Verling in right -Riley in Left and Meadows in center every day regardless of pitcher. I have been saying that all year. This is allows them to be more familiar with each other and prevent miscommunications. Plus Carpenter is poor in the field and Verling is excellent. I make defense a top priority. Just my opinion.

I agree. If Keith couldn't play the field, let him rest his shoulder. McKinstry can take his spot, why risk him hitting or running the bases? Vierling is a much better outfielder than Carpenter. Of course, I wouldn't ever have used Shelby Miller in high leverage situations either after 2 or 3 blown saves. But Hinch allowed him to blow 8 games for us. To me, that's an even bigger mistake. Of course, I still haven't seen that fly ball Meadows/Carp let drop. My only point is that as a CF, Meadows has to take charge on anything he can catch. He's done that a few times this season but he'll learn, he's still a young player.

Mck was already in the game at 2B, the added player probably would have been Jung to give you: Keith->bench, Carp->DH, Vierling->RF, Jung->3b. You'd be subbing one LH bat for another.

Doesn't make much sense, I guess.
