Tyler has been used mostly as the long guy after an opener but this will be his second consecutive start. OPS platoon split is 818/748 so he's not exactly shutting down LH hitters. Tigers should be able to put up some runs. Quote

Sports_Freak Posted September 26, 2024 Posted September 26, 2024 Don't look now but the WSox are hot. 5-5 in their last 10. Probably their best stretch of the season. Rut-oh. Quote
oblong Posted September 26, 2024 Posted September 26, 2024 They got the monkey off their back! They're loose now. They're building for next year. They're coming together for Grady Sizemore. Quote
Sports_Freak Posted September 26, 2024 Posted September 26, 2024 I think a win today would eliminate Seattle from taking our spot in the playoffs? I think we have the tiebreaker against them and the best they could do is match our win total at 85, if we win. I'm not sure about their elimination number against KC or the Twins. Quote

Back in August not only were the Tigers so far back of Minnesota and K.C. but there were a bunch of other teams ahead of them. Seattle, Boston, Tampa, even Texas and Toronto. Now all irrelevant or in Seattle’s case about to be. Quote

IdahoBert Posted September 26, 2024 Posted September 26, 2024 I kind of like Parker Meadows leading off. Is Hinch hoping that he’ll get a double and Ibanez or Perez will knock him in? Quote
lordstanley Posted September 26, 2024 Posted September 26, 2024 Game being televised coast to coast across Canada on all four regional Sportsnet channels Quote
