This is a GIGANTIC first win for the Tigers. Astros tried battling back but we pitched our way through it and got the win.

First time since 1935 that the Lions and Tigers have won a playoff game in the same year.

In the Jason Statham movie ‘Beekeeper’ the President of the United States in a very stressful situation looks at her son and says “You are such a good looking kid,” and then she sighs and says “But it’s a shame God doesn’t give with both hands.“ This felt like one of those games where “God doesn’t give with both hands.” But somehow it happened. Just need to win one of the next two.

The tigers burned one more pitcher than they wanted to, but the Astros used up Blanco so maybe that's not a losing trade.

Dan’s call of the final out.  Cut off prematurely, IMO, as radio went to commercial a few seconds after the catch.

The last time we felt like this was game 1 of the 2013 ALCS.  Since then it's been catch up.

This might be the high point of the season... and I'm ok with that.

Can't help but think back to game 2 of the 2006 ALDS in Yankee Stadium. At the time I personally had never witnessed a playoff victory before(was alive in 84 but only 3 years old so don't remember it) and  those last 3 outs from Jones felt like an eternity. Today we weren't looking at a 20 some year drought like then but still 11 years is a long time and like Jones in Yankee Stadium those last 3 outs just felt like forever.

I don't know about the actual radio broadcast, but the ads that MLB inserted into the radio stream were early to start and late to finish.
