Don’t know if they meant just Detroit proper  as to distinguish between the Detroit area but he went to Wayne State and there’s nice housing there. Also corktown and west village.  Boston Edison and Indian village may still be out of his price range… for now.  But there’s plenty of places in Detroit for a young white guy to fit in.
