Game one is always important, but it feels like Cleveland needs a win today more than Detroit does.

If Detroit can pull this off Cleveland will have to steal one from Skubal. No easy task.

It might be because Montero is a better bet as a bulk reliever than Mize.

Well, at least they made him work. 27 pitches is not ideal for Bibee.

We made Bibee throw 27 pitches in the first inning, which normally would be considered a good thing, but it does get us closer to running into their buzzsaw bullpen. Hopefully we get them out of the first on fewer than ten pitches, get Bibee out there quickly, and he’s gassed enough to make mistakes over the plate.

Yeah assuming he always has had that I'm surprised nobody has complained about it, surely he wouldn't leave it like that unless he felt it posed some sorta distraction/deception to the batters.
