IdahoBert
Hi… < shuffles feet, stares at the ground, then lifts up his head and looks at other people in the room then resumes his soliloquy> my name is Bert and I’m a Tigers fan and I have invested vastly more of my psychological and emotional well being in this team than I should… And it’s been going on for years… 2
Hongbit
If Cleveland really wanted to send a message, they’d have Charles Nagy throw out the first pitch.

SoCalTiger
Really happy Hinch is deferring to defense for his lineups.
IdahoBert
Just got back to the little house in the mountains after a walk to see the coverage on Max and they’re talking a lot about the Yankees and Pete Rose, which for me is a tremendous yawner. MichiganCardinal
Game one is always important, but it feels like Cleveland needs a win today more than Detroit does. If Detroit can pull this off Cleveland will have to steal one from Skubal. No easy task.

lordstanley
Is TBS going to freeze the pitcher’s name into the score box the entire game? I’d rather know, now and then, who is at bat and who is on deck.

I imagine the change has something to do with matchups. It might be because Montero is a better bet as a bulk reliever than Mize.
Crazy Cat Gentleman
27 pitches. not a bad start, even without scoring.

holygoat
Well, at least they made him work. 27 pitches is not ideal for Bibee.
chasfh
We made Bibee throw 27 pitches in the first inning, which normally would be considered a good thing, but it does get us closer to running into their buzzsaw bullpen. Hopefully we get them out of the first on fewer than ten pitches, get Bibee out there quickly, and he’s gassed enough to make mistakes over the plate. RandyMarsh
Just now, TigerNation said: He needs to cut that long ass lace. Yeah assuming he always has had that I'm surprised nobody has complained about it, surely he wouldn't leave it like that unless he felt it posed some sorta distraction/deception to the batters. Tigermojo
Big damage against their starters will take their bullpen out of the equation.
