Have to jump on Boyd.  Trying to scratch out runs in the 6-9 innings is going to be a huge challenge against the Guardians.

Scratching out runs in innings 1-9 is going to be tough.  

They have been winning for sure, but the lineup really doesnt inspire a lot of confidence.

I suspect with the extra off days that Cleveland had before this series and this series being 5 games in 8 days, that Cleveland bullpen will come in as early as needed.  Its well rested and the schedule allows it be well rested with a modest work load from the starters.  So that might mean scratching out a quick 3 or 4 on Boyd and Skubal is simply going to have to Skubal.

Boyd being a LHP worries me.   But only in the sense that he's going to be ok for an inning or two and then we break through.

Boyd hasn't pitched deep into games. Get into the Cleveland BP by the 4th inning. We need a late lead to prevent their late inning BP from shutting us down.

Exactly.  If he has success it will only be the first time through the order.   We will **** him up the next time through as we saw many times when he was here.
