smr-nj Posted October 9, 2024 Posted October 9, 2024 Totally impressive, this team, these wins. 1 Quote

Are only actual listeners over the air in Detroit hearing that? That’s what I was getting on the MLB radio app but I switched to Sirius XM amd listening to Dan D and Andy Dirks now. Quote
Jim Cowan Posted October 9, 2024 Posted October 9, 2024 One of the things I love about the postseason is Jake Rogers catching every game. 1 Quote

Jim Cowan Posted October 9, 2024 Posted October 9, 2024 I think I would rather have Matt Vierling on the team than Gregory Soto. 5 Quote
IdahoBert Posted October 9, 2024 Posted October 9, 2024 They used a lot of the pitching staff today. In fact, the whole game was played by both teams, as if it were the seventh game of the World Series. Pretty dramatic stuff. Quote

At least Detroit gives them the Cy Young pitcher to hype. They’ll schedule the games at 11:30 am, between The View and reruns of The Price is Right. Quote

Sports_Freak Posted October 9, 2024 Posted October 9, 2024 Tork and Keith get their first playoff hits. And in the same inning, to score our 3rd run. That takes the pressure off of them, big games for them tomorrow. 1 Quote

He just wanted to win today to get at least a Skubal start in game 5 on Saturday. Quote

MichiganCardinal Posted October 9, 2024 Posted October 9, 2024 I've been spending the last hour running analytics. After double and triple checking my math, I can confidently predict that if the Tigers pitching staff does not give up another run for the rest of the playoffs, they will win the World Series. 1 Quote
Sports_Freak Posted October 9, 2024 Posted October 9, 2024 Even if (or when) this run comes to an end, it's been a total blast. There's nothing like Tiger playoff baseball. The old adage...just get INTO the playoffs and anything can happen. And, it's happening!! Quote
lordstanley Posted October 9, 2024 Posted October 9, 2024 (edited) First few seconds of this short clip is the Guardians after Game 1. The balance is the Tigers in games 2 and 3. Edited October 9, 2024 by lordstanley 2 Quote

romad1 Posted October 9, 2024 Posted October 9, 2024 I want to face NY just because it validates us on the big stage (like whipping the Astros didn't already do that). The whole MLB would hate it if two regional teams were in the ALCS narrative bores me. Nobody watches the MLB playoffs except the people in those two towns or their diaspora of fans. 1 Quote
romad1 Posted October 9, 2024 Posted October 9, 2024 I have used the word "diaspora" multiple times on MTF today...weird. 1 Quote
