Annie came home from school one day and said he was hot. I allowed it because he went to Michigan.
lordstanley
Oooo, Kane came so close to tying it in final minute. But Sabres ice it with an ENG.

buddha
one caveat to the above is that they actually outplayed the rangers in msg for a lot of that game but were done in by sheshterkin.

I can't disagree with anything in this post - but if they are playing this way because Lalonde wants them to it's madness for the long haul because no goalies are going to be able to stand up to that kind of 40 out of 60 minute, 42 SOG per night pressure. Eventually GA will end up drifting up no matter how much they try to play rope-a-dope trying to keep it down. lordstanley
Wings leading Edmonton 1-0 after 1 and - gasp - outshooting the Oilers 13-5. I haven’t watched yet, but are the Wings actually playing decent?
lordstanley
During 2nd intermission the Oilers broadcast crew said it easily could have been 4-1 Wings after 1. It is now 2-1 Wings after 2.

lordstanley
Oilers skating circles around the Wings, hogging possession in the Wings’ zone. Still 2-1 Wings with 12:13 to go, but for how much longer.

lordstanley
2-2. That seemed inevitable. Will struggle to hang on another 6:30 for a point.

buddha
only took 10 seconds for mcdavid to saucer a pass across ice, the other guy to actually secure the pass, and for draisatl to beat edvinsson at the back post. boom boom boom. oilers win. lordstanley
That didn’t take long. Wings, Sabres, Bruins and Leafs are in 4-way tie for 3rd, each with 4-4-1 records for 9 pts after 9 games. But it feels like the Wings 1/9 of the way into the season are closer to a bottom 5 team than a playoff team. Need to get better but don’t see an obvious source of improvement. gehringer_2
Edvinsson logs 24 minutes tonight, not good enough to break into the line-up until game 69 of last season.
