I don’t want this series to drag on and go back to Cleveland. I want this series to end now. Consider it a mercy killing. The world loves an underdog more than it loves established winners. The Tigers will be doing the world at large a favor by putting the Cleveland Guardians down and giving the world what it wants, the toppling of the idols.

I had fears about tonight until I heard how badly that the city was dissed at the Detroit Economic Club.  No way this can be allowed to not be a clinch night after that.

Cleveland is a franchise with a long and storied history.  They aren’t just going to let outsiders swoop in and take away everything their franchise has stood for the last 120 years.    They have tremendous pride in who they are and we can’t expect them to give up and change their colors on a whim.  Nobody with an ounce of pride would do that, so they aren’t going to quit the fight and choose to be something different.   I expect the Guardians to battle like Crazy Horse having Custer in his sights at Little Big Horn.     Eat ‘em up Tigers!
