MichiganCardinal Posted October 12, 2024 Posted October 12, 2024 Pitcher can't locate and we're whiffing on pitches out of the zone. Quote
monkeytargets39 Posted October 12, 2024 Posted October 12, 2024 Vierling has been trying to do too much lately Quote
RandyMarsh Posted October 12, 2024 Posted October 12, 2024 I'm guessing if Vierling would've drawn a walk that Hinch would've then pinch ran for Carpenter. Probably figures with him on 1st he wants to see how the inning plays out before taking him out of the game. 2 Quote

On the flip side, a guy that wild cannot be easy to hit against. You see him throwing at all points of a zip code, and anything around the strike zone probably looks enticing. 1 Quote

If you pinch run for him and Vierling hits a ground ball, you've blown him. Quote

Maybe the TBS zone looked different. Quote

MichiganCardinal Posted October 12, 2024 Posted October 12, 2024 Still time for the Carp home run now. Quote
RandyMarsh Posted October 12, 2024 Posted October 12, 2024 Man has Riley been terrible at the plate of late. Quote
casimir Posted October 12, 2024 Posted October 12, 2024 Welp. Alright, Skubal, more bagels, please. 1 Quote
Jim Cowan Posted October 12, 2024 Posted October 12, 2024 That was some great baserunning by Sweeney Quote
MichiganCardinal Posted October 12, 2024 Posted October 12, 2024 Well that's your one Skubal. Might very well be the only one. If he can get through 8, Vest for the 9th. Quote
RandyMarsh Posted October 12, 2024 Posted October 12, 2024 If its still a 1 run game next time Carpenter comes to the plate if I'm Vogt short of the bases being loaded I'm walking him. Make guys like Vierling and the struggling Greene beat you. Quote
