I think if there hadn't been a flailing Skubal in between the batter and Sweeney, it's an easy out. There was also english on the ball coming off the mound. I'm okay with it as an error or a hit.

Honestly, just make them all hits, already. Batters are literally hitting the ball into play, after all. And assigning errors have become such a subjective exercise that it's fair to wonder how much in-game and -team politics influences the decision.
