What is the reason behind there not being a ten second runoff at the end on that penalty? An offensive unit/team with no timeouts that commits a penalty gets themselves a free play? Seems like a loophole to be exploited to me.

Yeah that seems wrong to me. They it was because the offense was set, so just a 5-yard penalty, but that shouldn't be allowed, IMO.

The Lions just about gave that one away but they just have that special clutch DNA. Goff was phenomenal, that throw to Ra at the end was absolute money. Need a quality pass rusher with Stroud and Love on the horizon, the Lions likely win this by two scores with Hutch.

Almost gave it away on the first drive! The fake punt was a terrible idea. The defense was not prepared when they took the field and gave up the easy score. The team bailed out Dan (Dave Fipp?) after that bad decision.

No kidding. Coach is awesome obviously but his ambition gets the best of him at times, that gave the Vikings a lot of unnecessary momentum to start.

Regardless, big win so it's just crying over spilled milk at this point complaining about coaches decisions and you never want to go full TP.

Why wasn’t there a 10 second runoff?  They got it wrong. Otherwise teams can just send their two fastest guys to spike the ball and take the 5 yard penalty.  The refs got it wrong.  They tried to make the Vikings win.

This is a great idea. Given what we learned today this needs to be in the Lions playbook.

Watching NFL Network and I get a kick out of them critiquing Campbell for taking the kneel downs and trusting his kicker instead of trying to gain more yards. Not that I necessarily disagree with that assessment in a vacuum just that it's funny how when he goes for it instead of kicking a FG people just automatically assume the kick was going to be good and he should've "taken the points" or "trusted his kicker" but when he shows complete faith in him instead of risking a turnover or sack they question that too.
