Someone has to be on top of your draft board. Why risk someone else taking that guy for a abosultely meaningless win. All you're doing today is hurting yourself in the long run. It's 2006 all over again Edited January 9, 2022 by KL2 Quote
Mr.TaterSalad Posted January 9, 2022 Posted January 9, 2022 Green Bay fans have to be happy wasting a first round pick on Love. Quote

Should they just go into every season trying to lose every game? We could have first overall picks at every position. Quote

Sports_Freak Posted January 9, 2022 Posted January 9, 2022 Draft position be damned. It's ALWAYS a good day when you beat Green Bay. Quote

Motown Bombers Posted January 9, 2022 Posted January 9, 2022 There's a very good chance Jacksonville takes Evan Neal who the Lions likely have no interest in. 1 Quote
Motor City Sonics Posted January 9, 2022 Posted January 9, 2022 Like they can't get a really good player at #2............in a year when there is no clear #1. The win was more important than that, actually. 1 Quote

RandyMarsh Posted January 9, 2022 Posted January 9, 2022 The Lions finished 3-5-1 after their bye week and not counting the Denver game where they barely had enough players to play due to COVID the only blowout loss was to Seattle. The other 3 losses were by 3, 2 and 4 points so they really played alot better in the 2nd half of the season despite having a ton of injuries to key players. Quote
Hongbit Posted January 9, 2022 Posted January 9, 2022 (edited) Normally I’d be SOL for winning a meaningless game to cost a draft spot but as others.said there is no top player in this draft. I also agree there’s a real chance that Jax does take Evan Neal which would leave the Lions with the same choice as if they were #1. Edited January 9, 2022 by Hongbit Quote

Adding to this point a number of guys stepped up and made an impact that had been quiet earlier in the year. I’d put St Brown, Raymond, Josh Reynolds, Reeves-Maybin, Netflix Reynolds, Bryant, Melafonfu, and even Goff in this group. Quote

I seem to recall a lot of people felt Aaron Rodgers was the next Joey Harrington which was why he slid down the draft board. Point is, the Packers took a risk and drafted a QB when they had an established hall of famer on the roster. 1 Quote

Sports_Freak Posted January 9, 2022 Posted January 9, 2022 If the Chargers-Raiders tie, both teams would make the playoffs. So they should just sit on the ball and tie. 0-0, right? Same as losing on purpose. Quote
