RandyMarsh Posted January 10, 2022 Posted January 10, 2022 (edited) This game is crazy! Last play of the game and Herbert throws a 100mph dart for a game tying TD to force OT. I believe the Chargers converted 3 4th downs on that drive along with that buzzer beating TD. Hey we may just get that tie after all! Edited January 10, 2022 by RandyMarsh Quote

RandyMarsh Posted January 10, 2022 Posted January 10, 2022 Getting closer and closer to that tie. Both teams matched FGs in OT and now we're still tied with just 4:30 left. Quote
Motown Bombers Posted January 10, 2022 Posted January 10, 2022 I can't imagine being a Steelers fan right now. Quote
lordstanley Posted January 10, 2022 Posted January 10, 2022 This is hilarious. Chargers convert another 4th down. Tied with 4:30 to go. Steelers fans must be getting nervous. Quote
lordstanley Posted January 10, 2022 Posted January 10, 2022 (edited) Both teams have done enough. If only they could trust reach other, there would be nothing unethical now about playing for tie. Edited January 10, 2022 by lordstanley Quote

Motown Bombers Posted January 10, 2022 Posted January 10, 2022 The two owners should call each other to give word to the head coaches to kneel on it. Quote
Motown Bombers Posted January 10, 2022 Posted January 10, 2022 (edited) 2 minutes. The Raiders can kneel and end it as long as the Chargers don't call timeout. Edited January 10, 2022 by Motown Bombers Quote
lordstanley Posted January 10, 2022 Posted January 10, 2022 They’ve played 68 minutes to a dramatic tie. Kneel, you’ve earned it.nor runs right up the middle. Quote
lordstanley Posted January 10, 2022 Posted January 10, 2022 Chargers coach outsmarted himself!! Quote
lordstanley Posted January 10, 2022 Posted January 10, 2022 Seriously, what was the Chrshers coach thinking? Raiders would not have tried a 57 yard FG attempt. Quote
Motown Bombers Posted January 10, 2022 Posted January 10, 2022 Why did the Chargers call timeout? Quote

If the concern was that the Raiders would call time out to kick a Fg, it wouldn’t matter if they tried the kick with 35s to go or 1s to go. If he makes it, game is over anyways, the time doesn’t mean anything to you. Quote

It was a weird call, but people are really underestimating the idea that LV would have still tried kicking that field goal. Especially with Carlson, who is a really good kicker. The risk of going to Cincinnati over KC is worth it IMO. Edited January 10, 2022 by mtutiger Quote

But they will be trading two of their own which would likely be better picks than the Rams so the net is nothing. They could have just traded Stafford to Carolina for the 9th pick and drafted Fields. I'm also wondering how far you think the Lions would need to trade up that they would be trading three 1st round picks? Quote

Of course they weren't in a hurry. They were in the catbird seat, playoffs almost entirely guaranteed. The only question was whether Carlson would send them to Cincinnati or not. Quote

The only question was whether Carlson would send them to Cincinnati or not. They ran it on 3 straight play at over 55 yards out. If they were truly playing to win, they would have at least attempted a pass to get closer and then ran on it. They seemed indifferent. The timeout by the Chargers came with only 4 seconds on the play clock so it really didn't save much time. The play was not stopping them on 3rd down. Quote

You think if the Chargers got the ball back after a missed FG attempt with 30 seconds to go they would have tried to get into FG position? Maybe, but I think that's a reach. Quote

After looking at it again, they let the play clock run down to 4 seconds. They didn't save much time. They could have saved 30 more seconds if they wanted to. My guess is Staley wanted to talk to his defense and let them know to play for the tie. Edited January 10, 2022 by Motown Bombers Quote
