I'm sure many people have real concerns about voter fraud—even though the fear is based mainly in fiction and, in reality, there is practically zero voter fraud—but I think for many other people, the real reason they support voter ID is they hope it will cause Democrats to lose elections by keeping likely D voters from voting in the first place.

Regarding the map, I checked what it said for my state, Oregon. The map and the simple field in the sheet says “No ID Required”. Except the next field says you do need a drivers license number to register to vote. The whole state is vote by mail. The ballots are sent to your official address in your name and you sign the ballot when you return it.

I guess some would say that allows for another person to use your ballot and forge your signature. But to lump it in with the “No ID Required” label seems very incomplete if not inaccurate.

That seems pretty safe. You already obtained a DL which I assume required documentation to obtain. It delivers to the same addess as DL states. That would take a lot of work waiting at one persons mail box to steal their ballot and send it back.

Admittedly, I don't know very many MAGAts. One of the few I do, however, has posted that the judge put illegal voters back onto the rolls. UGH.

Wasn’t that the argument against mail in ballots? The theory being that a group could collect a large number of them, possibly pay the recipient to sign the ballot and have the “buyer” fill them out.
Sounds like cumbersome operation.

This is why the whole idea of mass voter fraud makes no sense on a logical level. Not only is the voting system sealed practically airtight to prevent it on the front end, the sheer amount of effort to implement such an operation on the back end to the degree needed to move the needle in an election is practically prohibitive.
